Sitting on one of the mid-height branches of a rather tall tree in the forest, Amarylis happened to be there kicking her legs alternatively while flipping a combat knife in her right hand with a jaded look on her face. She seemed to have a large pouch attached to her belt. She then started looking ahead as she continued waiting impatiently...

"He should have been here already," Amarylis complained as she wrinkled her nose irritably. "Does that guy ever do anything right?"

Gamefreak walked into the area.

"...here I am, Amarylis." Gamefreak said to the psychic fox.

Amarylis flicked the knife from her hand as it landed perfectly into its scabbard attached to her belt before dropping off the tree branch she was sitting on. She then landed in front of Gamefreak and pointed at him as she looked him up in the eyes.

"Took you long enough!" Amarylis said sternly as she then crossed her arms. "As I've stated in that message, I demand my rematch after that denial you pulled on me last time."

"All right, I accept." Gamefreak said, "...I'll even let you make the first move, Ms. Blossom."

Unhesitantly, Amarylis nodded and took advantage of her point-blank range distance from Gamefreak to deliver a sudden psychic wave blast at him...

Gamefreak tried to put up a fast regular Dark Barrier when he started to see Amarylis gear up to do a psychic blast.

"I've seen your moves before, I know what move you're gonna use by the way you move your body."

Amarylis spun around once to generate a reflective psychic field in front of herself to deflect her redirected projectile up into the air. She then brandished her knife out mid-spin and do a slashing at Gamefreak's Dark Barrier.

As the projectile was deflect, Gamefreak dropped the Dark Barrier and ducked under the knife while Amarylis was spinning, and then after the knife was dodged and while she was still spinning, Gamefreak tried to grab onto Amarylis' tail.

Unfortunately for Gamefreak, he would be met with a kick in the face while Amarylis' tail was too far off to be grabbed.

"oww..I guess I deserved that one though..." Gamefreak said, backing up a bit away from Amarylis after the kick.

Amarylis then rushed at Gamefreak as she had her knife-wileding forearm crookedly in front of herself as she tilted forward slightly in her dash. She appeared to be preparing another slash at Gamefreak.

Gamefreak waited for the right moment, and then jumped over Amarylis while she was trying to lunge at Gamefreak. Also in midair, he would try to grab the tail again...

The prepared horizontal slash was a feint as Amarylis stopped running and fell backwards to do a bicycle kick at the leaping Gamefreak to counter his aerial approach, aiming for his groin. Her tial, again, would be too out-of-reach from the bicycle kick. If struck, Gamefreak would be sent crashing through a tree behind Amarylis.

"...what?" As Gamefreak started to see it was a feint, he tried as fast as he could to create a EX Dark Barrier to protect himself from the Bicycle kick...

Gamefreak, inside his barrier, would still be sent flying from the bicycle to crash through the nearby tree behind Amarylis. She then landed on her back and rolled up onto her feet.

"Still after my tail!?" Amarylis called out at Gamefreak as she began rushing at him again.

"Hmm...well, if you show me one thing...I'll stop going after it..." Gamefreak said, "For me, the only thing I see that tail is is a weakness..it doesn't really serve any real purpose for battle...hmm...maybe if you can show me otherwise, I'll treat it more then just a weakness." Gamefreak smirked.

"Just can it!"

Amarylis was preparing for an upwards left diagonal slash at Gamefreak as she approached him in her dash.

Gamefreak waited until Amarylis was near before sidestepping and making it look like he was after the tail again...but then he made the other arm into a Ki Blade and tried to thrust it into the side of Amarylis.

After missing the slash as she was at frontal range of Gamefreak, Amarylis did a right upwards diagonal slash to parry Gamefreak's Ki Blade thrust and hopefully cause Gamefreak to stagger from the deflection maneuver...

"That's not going to help you against a proper weapon!" Amarylis shouted as she turned around to face Gamefreak once again. "That silly Ki Blade is going to be a liability against me this time!"

Amarylis then took a defensive stance with her knife...

"Hmm...I have an idea..." Gamefreak said, taking a defensive stance as well, "...how about just for fun, for this section of our duel...let's be fists and feet...and..well..let's just say no weapons or ki. Then after that we'll resume the no-holds-barred fight.."

Amarylis flipped the knife in her hand and dropped it into the scabbard attached to her belt...

"Seeing as you claim to be an 'expert' in hand-to-hand, I'd like to see if you really are what you claim to be," Amarylis said sharply as a smirk touched her face. "You're on!"

"..all right then..." Gamefreak dashed at Amarylis, and tried a grapple...

Amarylis took no combat stance as she simply stood their with hands at her hips, waiting for Gamefreak to approach her...

Gamefreak then tried to grapple Amarylis, by trying to grab her, and then slam her to the ground...

Amarylis then hopped off to the side as she attempted to throw a kick at Gamefreak's neck as he closed in.

Gamefreak tried to roll around Amarylis once the grab didn't work and before the kick connected and after the roll, Gamefreak would end up facing Amarylis' back...

Amarylis didn't seemed to be responding appropriately as Gamefreak was behind her as she appeared vulnerable at the moment...

Gamefreak would then go to try and grab Amarylis' tail with one hand, while trying a punch to the back of her head with the other hand.

As planned, Amarylis set-up up Gamefreak to try and get him to grab her tail as his hand slipped off the tail due to the lubricant she applied over it. Amarylis capitalized on this mistake by swaying downward to dodge the punch aimed for the back of her head and caught his wrist as she turned spin around during her dodge maneuver. Upon grabbing Gamefreak's wrist, Amarylis pulled Gamefreak forward to deliver a knee thrust to his belly.

As Amarylis tried a knee thrust to Gamefreak, he would try to deliver a similar blow to her belly with his free hand.

"oww..." Gamefreak got hit, but it would appear like Amarylis would suffer a similar attack soon as well...

Amarylis bunched in her belly as she countered Gamefreak to reduce the damage her opening did with his own punch. While pulling her punching arm back, Amarylis slipped her other hand onto the grabbed arm and spun around in attempt to twist Gamefreak's arm that she had a hold of.

After the punch to her stomach, Gamefreak tried to follow it up with a quick knee jab of his own, while trying to pull back with the hand that Amarylis has a grasp on to try and free it from her grip.

Feeling Gamefreak tugging himself back, most likely to try pulling himself out of her grip, Amarylis simply let go of his arm mid-way in her spin in order to try and get him to fall backwards since his knee jab would sacrifice his balance in the process. Meanwhile, the knee jab grazed against Amarylis as he release on Gamefreak effectively reduced the damage of his attack.

Gamefreak got free and stumbled backwards a bit before regaining balance and resumed a defensive pose.

Amarylis re-engaged Gamefreak into close-quarters once again as she slid in forward with her left foot to close the distance as she seemed to be preparing a kick.

Gamefreak once again tried to roll to the side of Amarylis so he would end up at her back.

"Idiot..."

Taking advantage of the opening, Amarylis swiftly delivered a half radial kick with her right foot to strike the rolling Gamefreak.

Gamefreak was hit while he was rolling, but he quickly got to his feet and jumped back a bit to resume a defensive pose.

"Silly Gamefreak," Amarylis snarked. "You don't combat roll when you're that close to someone."

Amarylis, supporting her elbow on her palm in front of herself to place the hand of her supported arm under her chin, then walked towards Gamefreak...

Gamefreak continued his defensive pose, waiting to see what Amarylis is planning...
