On a snowfallen and breezing morning, a teenage girl with very long hair and dressed in an unconventional mage outfit and a teenage Fox girl in winter attire who were of similar height range were sitting on the bench near a trail on the outskirts of the local village. They seem to be conversating with each other as they appeared to be reading from a large textbook, the Fox girl pointing fingers at certain parts of the said book.

Gamefreak walked along the path that the bench was seated by...

"OH, look who happens to be passing by!" the Fox girl shouted. "Isn't it our gullible buffoon!?"

She stood up to reveal herself to be no other than Amarylis, who gave Gamefreak the pointer finger.

"What business do you have to attend this time?"

"...I'm just walking by Amarylis...getting some fresh air and exercise." Gamefreak said, "...or what....you saying I'm not allowed too? What, am I your pet or something?"

"You mean out in the middle of nowhere?" Amarylis snarked with hands on her hips, raising an eyebrow. "No, I have a proposal for you since you may incline to it. You did mentioned you like a good fight, right?"

"...yes, I did mention that..." Gamefreak said.

The mage girl facepalmed and sighed...

"Amarylis, don't try this again."

Amarylis walked up to Gamefreak and approached him at a really close level, pressing her index finger against his chest as she smirked.

"Mhm, my recollection doesn't fail me!" Amarylis said. "Have you ever fought a magician before?"

"...I don't think I have." Gamefreak plainly answered.

"Hmhmmm, thought as much," Amarylis said smugly. "You still seem new to the concept of this world's culture anyway."

Amarylis walked back to the mage girl and grabbed her by the wrist, pulling her up off her seat...

"How would you like to challenge one then!?"

"Oh come on, since when did I agree to this!?" the mage girl exclaimed with an unpleased look. "... And it isn't like he is a magician anyway, so I see no point on practicing my magecraft against him."

"Everyone, no matter what field, needs to practice on defending themself against all aspects of classification, don't be shallow!" Amarylis said back to the mage girl as she let go. She then looked at Gamefreak with a smug and said "Right?"

"...hmm...well, nice to meet you." Gamefreak said to the mage girl while doing a little salute, "I'm Gamefreak Kane."

Miracle glanced off to her side and wrinkled her nose, clearly irritated by the idea that she thought as silly in spite of the fact that Amarylis has a point. She put her book down on the bench, which she closed and revealed it to be a grimoire...

"My name is Miracle Mysteria," the mage girl answered. "I never seen you around here before... Or anywhere for that matter."

"Well. I'm not from this world...how about a friendly spar?" Gamefreak said, "...I'll even let you go first."

"That's obviously what Amarylis was implying anyway," Miracle said as she faced Gamefreak directly now. "Also, what is our arena for a casual fight anyway? If we're doing it here, we'll just end up decimating the village nearby, which is a stupid idea if we insisted on it."

"...hmm...well...Amarylis presented the idea...where are we gonna fight, Amarylis?" Gamefreak asked the fox girl.

"Have you forgotten that hyperspace arena at your school, Miracle?" Amarylis said to the mage girl with arms crossed.

"No, I have not forgotten," Miracle answered as she also crossed her arms, though her form was more out of frustration than the arrogant one Amarylis was doing. "Are you an idiot or something? Have YOU forgotten the arena is only accessible by campus permit? Only students and staff are allowed to use it and Gamefreak is NOT any of them!"

Amarylis paused for a moment to ponder...

"Let me get back with you on that one," Amarylis said before she pondered on. She gasped and nodded. "Aha, I know! You two can spar off at the abandoned village!"

Miracle shrugged...

"Well, I guess"

"...all right, please take me there." Gamefreak asked.

"Alright, follow me then!" Amarylis said as she began walking off.

Miracle shrugged and went over to grab her grimoire to follow after Amarylis, sighing...

A few minutes later, Amarylis landed from flight as she arrived at the front of a decimated tract of what appeared to once have civilization, Miracle landed right after her.

"Here we are!"

"All right then...you may start first." Gamefreak said to Miracle.

Miracle held her grimoire at Amarylis, who took it in her arms to hold it before walking off to get out the battlefield's boundary while Miracle proceeded to pace a bit from Gamefreak to create some distance before she could start...

"I have a bad feeling about this, but I hope all that long, hard work pays off this time around..."

Miracle starts with a short swirling pointing gesture to summon a blast of wind at Gamefreak.

Gamefreak simply sidesteps the wind gust.

"...just some little wind?" Gamefreak chuckled a bit.

The blast of gust expanded and curved as it travelled in attempt to blow Gamefreak away.

Gamefreak boosted into the air to avoid the wind while firing a Kaiser Wave at Miracle.

Miracle simply stretched out one palm out in front of herself, pointing it at the Kaiser Wave. The Kaiser Wave simply disintegrated as its particles vaguely transfered into her palm. She then thrusted her palm out to cause the snow in the vicinity to instantly transform into shards of ice and fire them at Gamefreak while he rose into the air.

"...crap..." Gamefreak tried to boost around them, "...she can control the snow? ...she's not gonna try to make a snowman out of me...right?"

While distracting Gamefreak with the ice bullets, Miracle did another hand gesture. This instantly transformed the air near Gamefreak into a gigantic hand made of highly cohered air that was preparing to punch her target from behind him.

"...!" Gamefreak brought up the EX Dark Barrier to shield himself from the punch.

"Ahhh, so he can produce a shield afterall," Miracle whispered.

While Gamefreak was busy shielding himself from the giant fist of cohered air's punch, Miracle does yet another hand gesture to summon the sand from beneath the snow and form them into ten large, levitating shards of glass in a hexagonial formation. They were pointed at Gamefreak. She then did another gesture to fire them at his position like a shotgun.

The EX Dark Barrier reflected the Glass projectiles...

To Gamefreak's surprise, the arrow-shaped glass shards simply penetrated the Dark Barrier without their momentum being compremised. It appeared to be an anti-shield attack.

Meanwhile, Miracle prepared an advanced spell with a rhythmic set of hand gestures.

"What the?" Gamefreak dropped the barrier and tried to boost out of the way once he saw the glass break through, but doing so distracted him and made him unable to stop Miracle's casting...

Miracle finished her spellcasting and suddenly summons a gathering of rain clouds high above Gamefreak, which let down a heavy downpour.

"...this is just rain...." Gamefreak said...and then fired another Kaiser Wave at Miracle.

Miracle, having finished the spell, rose her palm at the Kaiser Wave to absorb it like that last one before proceeding to forming a sphere of power in front of herself.

"...what's all this rain for?" Gamefreak asked.

"You'll have to find out yourself!" Miracle called back.

The power sphere suddenly went from white to cyan, shimmering with a bluish and frosty sparkle, before Miracle launched it at Gamefreak.

Gamefreak brought up a Dark Barrier to try and reflect the sphere back to Miracle.

The orb collided on Dark Barrier and was crushed, encasing the said barrier inside a block of ice. Meanwhile, Miracle did hand ornate gestures for her next advanced spellcast.

"...crap...so...now...I'm stuck in ice?" Gamefreak asked.

Miracle was nearly finished with her manual incantation while Gamefreak was trapped in a chunk of ice...

"...crap..." Gamefreak tried to move in order to try to crack the ice...
