Metals & Materials:

This is a list of the different types of metals that are used for the making of weapons/armor/tools.

Quality determines the effectiveness of the item

Weight determines what kind of individuals can wield the items

Cost is for economical purposes

Durability is how long the material lasts before wearing out.; a @ symbol means it is nearly indestructible.

Ferrum - The most abundant metal on Atlas. Despite its low quality, it is quite economical and also the lightest of the metals. Most often used for basic tools and the like. Ferrum can be found near the surface of Atlas where its long-term distance from the planetary heart has waned any significant magical potential as well as it's mass.

Gravum - The second most abundant metal on Atlas. Since it is the condensed version of Ferrum, it is much heavier and also stronger, while costing more to form from its ore state. Most often used for heavy armor or machinery. Gravum can be found near the surface of Atlas.

Tenum - A rare metal that can be used to fashion sharp blades and high quality items due to being of crystalline nature. This makes the material quite fragile. Tenum can be found deeper inside Atlas within the subterranean caverns and thereafter.

Ianum - A mysterious metal that possesses mystical properties as it grows amongst planetary energy crystals underground. It is quite light and is often fashioned into magical items and the like. Ianum can be found deeper inside Atlas within the subterranean caverns and thereafter.

Solinum - An extremely rare metal that cannot be found natively on Atlas, but is initially formed from the central sun where it eventually travels to neighboring planets through bursts of solar flares, where it eventually cools in the crust. Due to it's high energy nature, the metal can be worked into nearly anything, acquiring the properties of its fused ingredients and making it very versatile.

Divinum - Atlasian metal combined with enough Elemental energies through alchemical means. The energies are usually remnants from the previous war, where Elementals may have fallen or imparted their selves into the surrounding environment. Significant amounts of energy must be harvested before it can be forged into a partner metal. Because of this, they are in short supply and at a high cost to produce. Additionally, the quality of the energy enchanting the product metal is quite high.

Alchemy - The transmutation of a particular substance into another desired substance by altering the data of the target. This practice is usually done on inanimate objects, though it can also be done on living objects. Alchemy can be done on two different levels:

I. Concrete - Changes the data related to physical appearance or properties.

II. Abstract - Changes the data related to inherit idea or abstract properties.
