On a seemingly peaceful and rather hot afternoon inside a two story mall that had a gothic arcade style architecture, Terumi was at a toy store currently playing with several hula hoops spinning around her waist. From the indication of her laugh, she seemed to be having fun showing off to Diantha.

"Hey, check me out!" Terumi called to Diantha. "What do you think!?"

Diantha giggled and commented "I am quite amused by hypnotic rhythm that the loops around you are exhibiting". Diantha then suddenly put on a fake set of prank glasses with a big nose and mustache attached. "Can you recognize me?"

"Meh, I can't believe those things still exist..." Terumi commented as she continued her hoop spinning through waist swings. "Let's go somewhere else, we'll come back here later."

"Agreed"

Terumi then left the store to explore more of the arcade mall as Diantha followed after her.

Kyougi was still with her master.

"So...Ms. Kokonotsu...um..master..." She asked her master, "...just what did happen to me to make me have amnesia? ...and could you fill in the holes like how we first met and how I maybe your servant?"

Koihime spotted a bench near the arcade mall's entrance and approached it to take her seat, fanning herself with her hand fan.

"I cannot really explain much of why you had amnesia, Kyougi, other than overexerting yourself mentality last night," the nine-tailed fox answered. "Also, you're a Shikigami I summoned a few years ago to assist me while I was away from home. I let you go out for the night because you told me you wanted to train yourself for improvement."

She then materialized a brown bag and shook it a bit, which sounded like it had coins inside.

"Shikigami? ..hmmm...I can't remember....anything...like if I had powers or techinques..." Kyougi said, "...do you possibly know what I am capable off, master?"

Koihime nodded and waved her fan to jumpstart Kyougi's memory of what her original ability happened to be...

"You had power over fire and a little bit of some old fashion Ki manipulation, Kyougi," Koihime answered. "However, I wanted to help you train that ability of yours to reach its greater potential, fire on its own can only get one so far. I believe that was why you went out last night in the first place."

"You are very powerful, master..." Kyougi said, "..as your Shikigami...are you gonna give me a bit of your power?"

"Only as a reward for completing your next step to your training," answered the nine-tailed fox, collapsing her hand fan. "Once you master your fire ability and learn to control plasma, I'll help you wield the power of lightning through your own abilities, okay?"

Koihime then handed Kyougi the bag of money.

"Sounds good, thank you Master!" Kyougi said and took the money bag, "huh? ...what is this for, master?"

"Your reward," Koihime answered. "Spend it all as you like or save it up even."

As she said this, she glanced at the arcade mall behind her.

"Hmm...Maybe I'll see if there is anything good on sale...Thank you Master!" Kyougi bowed a bit, "..hm...Master, would it be okay if I went to the mall right now? I promise I'll be fast and come back right away!"

Koihime then stood up from off the bench...

"Yes, you may go to the mall. No need to rush, I'll give you all day."

"Thank you, Master!" Kyougi then went into the mall, "..hmm...I wonder where the sale section is...I wanna save some of my money..."

Meanwhile, Terumi continued leading Diantha as they dashed down the wide flight of stairs from the second floor.

"Where are we going now, Miss Yamato?" Diantha asked.

"I'm going to go take a look and check on the order I just made yesterday," Terumi answered. "I have... a ceremony that I need to participate in tomorrow and I was asked to place an order for them."

"Understood"

The two then passed by Kyougi, Terumi accidentally grazing her shoulder along the way.

"Ow...hey...excuse me...but I think you should watch out for others!" Kyougi said to the tiny miko.

Terumi stopped and turned back as she heard Kyougi's cry...

"Who, me?"

"Well...you were the one who hit me." Kyougi said.

"Well, sorry about that then," Terumi said. "I was a bit in a hurry that I wasn't really being careful."

Diantha then tapped Terumi's shoulder with an index finger.

"Miss Yamato, we should try to make it up to her perhaps," Diantha suggested. "What do you think?"

"... But I just bumped shoulders with her... I don't think it's something that severe, is it?"

"...Well...it was just a shoulder bump...just a small reprimand seems appropriate." Kyougi said.

"Well, how'd you like me to make it up to you then?" Terumi asked as she shrugged. "Uhhh, what's your name?"

"My name is Kyougi, Shikigami of Ms. Kokonotsu." Kyougi said with a nod, "...and who might you be?"

"Kokonotsu...?" Terumi paused. "Why have I heard of that name before?"

Meanwhile, with a pleasant smile on her face, Diantha held her hand out at Kyougi for a hand shake.

"My name is Diantha Moondust. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Kokonotsu!"

"Nice to meet you too, Ms. Moondust." Kyougi shook her hand.

Terumi gasped as her eyes widened in surprise...

"Wait, I just realized!" Terumi exclaimed. "Kokonotsu... As in Koihime Kokonotsu!? Right?"

"..yes, that is my master." Kyougi said to the little miko.

"Really?" the excited half-dog shrine maiden asked further. "So that means you work for the leader of the Magocracy's intelligence? What would bring you here then?"

"You haven't even told me about yourself first..." Kyougi said to the miko, "...why should I entertain your questions about my master?"

"Uhhh, oh, right..."

Terumi rubbed the back of her head and chuckled a bit in embarassment.

"My name is Terumi Yamato and I'm a shrine maiden of the sun."

"...and why are you so interested in my master?" Kyougi asked.

"Hmmm, well, not that I am obsessed or anything," Terumi began to answer. "I just wasn't expecting someone working for someone from such a high position in a place like this really."

"Could the same be said of yourself as well, Miss Yamato?" Diantha asked.

"Shrine maiden of the sun in training, Diantha... That's not a big deal nowadays like they used to."

"But you are a direct descendent of King Yamato, yes?"

"Anyway!..." Terumi interrupted in attempt to prevent anymore references of her ancestry. She then said to Kyougi "Your master has a big reputation in this thing that everyone makes a big deal called 'politics'."

"...who is this 'King Yamato'?" Kyougi asked Diantha.

"Eeek!"

Terumi placed herself closer to Diantha and put her hand over the wolf girl's mouth before she could speak.

"He is a dead king of some land," Terumi answered for her. "Nothing too big, eheheh..."

"...why are you putting your hand over her mouth?" Kyougi asked in confusion.

Terumi then removed her hand off of Diantha's mouth...

"Ummm, I saw she was about to cough, so I wanted to help her cover her mouth before she did so."

"... But I was not going to," Diantha simply said as she frowned.

"...do you have anything to add about this 'King Yamato', Ms. Moondust?" Kyougi asked.

"Not too much beyond Miss Yamato being a direct descendent of King Yamato," Diantha answered. "I should really look him up again when I do get the opportunity to."

"Hmm...does that make Ms. Yamato a Queen or something?" Kyougi asked.

"The last thing I'd want to be..." Terumi snarked as she twitched an eyebrow. "Not really, otherwise I would be ruling a big piece of land right now... Or hey, perhaps the world too?"

"..the world? Was King Yamato that big?" Kyougi asked.

"I do recall that King Yamato may have been a pioneer of some sort," Diantha answered. "He founded an entire society in a very ancient period, I believe."

Meanwhile, Terumi groaned and slouched backwards as she hung her head, clearly annoyed about the subject.

"Hmm..I see..." Kyougi said, "I'm just here on my break, master gave me some money to use as I see fit...and then I must report back to master."
