Terminology in Your Setting

Post terms used in relationship of particular fields, concepts, pseudo-sciences sciences and arts in context and perception of your own setting. Long-winded explanations are optional, but it's best to summarize them since we're just defining things here rather than outright explain every detail.

Magitech- In my main universe, there exists a practice that effectively combines magical energy and technology, which is loosely translates to Magitech. But while normal magic is possible, the planet it originated from is more tech based. As such it sees more widespread use than regular magic. It us used to make/power more higher end items, as well as my character Vextor. However, due to Kaine's coming and widespread destruction, using it now is somewhat taboo.

It is *not* a forgotten technology. It is just unused for the most part. Along with the stigma of using it, most areas which utilized magitech were destroyed. The people lacked the resources and manpower to repair them anyways. Also contributing to the disuse was the coming of the Berkan race, who had brought with them more earthan customs.



Berkans: A race that originated from earth, but came to Gaia along with whom some call "The Great Mother", whom was Suzan Fortune Birkin, a.k.a. Liquid Dragoon. The appearance of the race varied, but they were anthropormorphic creatures.

In the present day of Gaia, there are no more full blooded Berkans (The first ones did not mate with each other due to it *technically* being incest).

I was going to do this following my combat mechanics post but alright here's a few quick ones.

Magitek: Any technology powered by magic or augmented by it. It's usually more expensive but more effective.

Mana Wells: The fountains that provide the world with magical energy. Several very well known mana wells were made popular in fables such as the fountain of youth

Magicite: Pure mana crystals which can be embued with memories and abilities

Focus Crystals: Mana crystals used to harness latent potential to their maximum height. Artificial ones can be created but pure magicite tends to be superior unless the artificial one has been used substaintially.
