Appearance: Alvin's short well trimmed beard and hair, are matched with a long green cape, a set of white and gold trimmed armor and when he is in battle he wears a white mask with three gold strikes under both eyes. While somewhat gaunt and grim Alvin always tends to have an air of dignity and likes to smile to himself when he is on his own.

Personality: Alvin, while kind to his own people is quick to shut down someone and act in their best interests, often acting without thought for what the person actually wants. This in turn reflects on his leadership and while he means well overall he tends to defer to his advisers immediately if he agrees with their reasoning, and though he may change his mind later Alvin is one who doesn't like to admit fault, admitting defeat reluctantly and without dwelling on it very long. While he understands that demons and other mana heavy races are not inherently evil he will tend to be quicker and more curt with them than humans, especially demons and vampires who he will almost immediately dismiss if given the chance.

Abilities: Alvin's primary abilities as a swordsman have waned with old age but he is still no push over. Using a combination of his focus crystal and his royal blood Alvin can produce fields of holy light around himself for attack and defense, however Alvin's holy fields MUST originate from himself and are most powerful during daylight hours. At night Alvin's strength is diminished and it strains him to produce the fields during that time frame due to the fact his power has to come entirely from himself instead of from being powered by by the sun, therefore it is more difficult to project his energy fields though he is not incapable of doing so.

History: Growing up in a small village away from the capital Alvin was kept away from the fighting that his people instead making friends with a young girl he met at the ruins of a caravan, slowly gaining a fairly mellow outlook on the world. Though he acknowledged her as a monster he wanted to pretend she would remain kind, a dream shattered when he finally revealed her nature to her....that night the monster attacked the village to fed itself and though it ran at the young man's behest the damage was done to both parties, and Alvin would have trouble seeing eye to eye with most demons or magical races, just like his parents before him. Later moving into the guard of the capital once that front had been deemed unsafe, Alvin holed himself up in the royal library, studying light magics and swordsmanship along with his previous duties of studying the arts, and court politics. However even as he fought alongside his troops and saw that demons were driven by instinct he unlike many of his own men was able to note that demons are cunning and diverse in their military, leading him to believe that if his people were to survive they would need a bolstering force, quickly turning to his church and their confiscated texts to train an army of paladins and demon knights to help combat and lead the feverishly devoted populous, leading them into the most successful era in his nation's history, albeit the most bloody.
