Request Area Removed Again |
| Posted by blitzah - 06-5-08 13:35 - 0 comments |

The request area has been removed yet again.
This is due to many reasons. It wasnt being used very much. It didnt bring in many members. The area was used by people that would request and leave. We also have quite a few boards and therefore removing some wasnt needed but made browsing s7 easier as theres less scrolling required and so on.
The request area may return in the future, but not for a few monthss as it has never really been a success. |

Advertising |

Some of you may have noticed a new section suddenly appear at the bottom of the forum for advertisements. This is to prevent people from filling their sig sections and other parts of the forum with ads etc (this does not include links to personal portfolio's/profile's). This is quite common on a lot of forums to be fair, so please don't take it the wrong way.
Although we wish to help our commited members bring activity to their own sites as best we can, you must understand that we are not a forum for you to fill up with ads.
So as of now, feel free to post all ads in the Advertisement section. We also allow our members to add their site link to the "Home Page" box on their member profiles (obviously).
Before using the new section, please be sure to read the advertising rules.... here.
Thanks for reading, The s7 team. |

We have removed the elite section. The area didnt get very much use and has now been switched offline. It may return in the future, but with improvements and new ideas. The elite member group has also been cleared. |

Due to some changes to our design team, we need some fresh faces to the team. If you like making sigs and dont mind making sigs for other people, then we would like you on our team.
If you would like to join our team and be a designer then post your application here and make sure you follow the guidelines here.
Thanks. |

SOTW Tactics |

We've been made aware of and noticed ourselves that a few things seem kinda fishy with certain votes in SOTW.
Myself & Blitzah have discussed some possible new ways for choosing a SOTW winner etc, but we decided not to make any major changes and to just add a simple and reasonable new rule instead.
So from now on, we're only allowing ONE(1) entry per IP. Any other users with the same IP as any of the existing participants will NOT be allowed to enter or vote! This doesn't include the entrants themselves.... they're obviously still allowed to vote for others in that round.
So basically.... say me & blitzah had the same IP's and I entered a sig before he did, then blitzah wouldn't be able to enter or vote in that round (and vice-versa).
This is to try and avoid users making separate accounts to vote for their own sigs.
We hope you all understand and agree with our decision.
