She stared blankly into the hallway, admiring the wallpaper that she'd never quite noticed before. Some might call it indescribably ugly, but she wouldn't be so harsh. After all, even the wallpaper deserved a second chance. And even though this was a horrible pattern--hearts and squiggles among other things-- she wouldn't mind keeping it there. I mean, it was just on the walls of the dimly lit hallway, nothing to be too worried about. And, if anything, she'd be moved out of here in a few months.

She only needed, what, a few more thousand dollars saved up? Easy. All she'd have to do was not eat for a few days. Weeks. Okay, months.

She smiled dully at the thought, as she tramped down that same hallway with one intention. Get her bag. Only, she got side-tracked. Very much the same situation as a little girl with the ice cream man, only a fully matured woman with her sister's empty room. And cocaine. Maria cocked her head to the side, her gaze trailing over the unmade bed. That wouldn normally bother her, only she wasn't looking at the bed, she was thinking about what might be under it. So, silently, but still carefully, she crept into the room as if someone was home. No one was.

She flipped up the mattress with some difficulty. Nothing. Dresser? She checked all four drawers. Nothing. Closet? Witha quick sweep of thje clothes hanging there, she saw nothing. So, with an aggravated groan, she sat herself down on the drug-free ned without restraint. She didn't have to hide them. Seriously. Had Jill not shown them to her and, even, let her try some, this wouldn't be happening. Eugh. Her hand moved to push back some stray locks of golden hair. The vent, maybe?

She knelt down, and, slowly, unscrewed the vent with her nails.

    Bingo.

    Oh, life was good.

She pulled out a bag and, happily and somewhat subconciously, stuffed them in her purse. Ha.

Now, work. Alexa should be here any minute. So, with haste and with some further doubts in her mind, she hurried from the guest room (closing the door neatly behind her) to the front hall, ignoring the fact that she hadn't gotten her bag like intended.

ooc;; just to explain this completely jumbled post-- she's hiding them from her sister so her sister won't do them.

A lot of people believed Alexa to be a stuck up cow with a lot of money and a posh accent. It really just depending on your outtake on her. Seriously she wasn't stuck-up, she was possibly one of the sweetest and nicest girls you'd ever come across and as for money? Well she had that too but she never flaunted it and as for the accent well that just came naturally and made her different to everyone else and she liked that.

So it was no surprise she had a good car, intially her and Tristan chose it together. Her mother had given her a nice sum of money into her bank account to spend as she will and Alexa wanted a car and well Tristan said she couldn't chose a car on her own he had to come with her. She needed a stylish, non gas-guzzling, safe car right? So she originally wanted a sporty one but in the end her and Tristan decided (after many arguments) on a Mercedes CLK convertible, it was stylish, reliable and safe. So she was happy.

And seeing as her and Maria were working the same shift today it was only natural of Alexa to offer her a ride. They didn't live too far away from each other so it was on the way. From what Maria had told her, her apartment was really small. Alexa always wanted to have just the bare necessities but she'd always been lucky enough to have more. So she just used it to her 'advantage'

Right now she was pulling up outside Maria's apartment block wearing her 'work clothes' black tailored trousers with a black top bearing the Kraven's logo, of course black flats and her raven hair flowing down her back, she looked like she was going to attend a funeral not work. Going all the way up to Apartment 25, she knocked three times lightly and waited for an answer.

The knock was, frankly, expected, and it really didn't phase Maria to get the door. She checked herself over in the mirror, and, with a quick sweep of her mental checklist, she'd realized she didn't get her bag. Of all things. This bag, which was vital to her employtment (containing her uniform and her shoes and her... well, whatever else there was she needed), was sitting on her bed. Lonely and forgotten.

She frowned as she clicked happily down the hallway, and, within a few seconds, had her bag and was on her way out. The door opened after a few seconds of pulling gently, so as not to pull the damn thing off of it's hinges. Again, the apartment wasn't quite falling apart, but it was getting there. Nice of her parents to help her out, too.

She smiled when the door finally came free and sje say Alexa standing there. "Hello," she greeted, making room for her to step in. They didn't need to leave for a few minutes, right? And, it would be awfully rude for not to invite her in, much less offer her a drink... or something to eat, or, well, yeah. "Come on in."

The apartment was clean, so that wasn't to worry about. And Jill's door was closed. But, frankly, it was quite a possbility that Jill could walk in any minute. With one her... user friends, to put it nicely. But, that possibility was quite scarce. She normally stayed out until the late hours of the night, anyways.
