At home, I also have both seasons of LOST.

For next week, I vote for The Fifth Element. It will help us get back in the mood for a better future, after that depressing Idiocracy.

I'll compose a more comprehensive list later but here are a few of my dvds that I'd like to have watched this year:

The Black Hole (classic 80's sci-fi, both creepy and corny)
12 Monkeys (depressing yes, but Brad Pitt as a paranoid schizophrenic, cant go wrong)
The 4400 season 1 (only 6 eps. PEOPLE MUST WATCH THIS SHOW)
AlienNation (The movie with James Caan and Inego Montoya (Mandy Patankin))
Mystery Men (left over from last year)
Gattaca (maybe this week)
I, Robot (underrated movie IMHO)
Stargate (the movie)
Terminator 1-3
The Matrix (and I do mean THE Matrix)
The Island

The full list will be much, much larger I just don't have time right now.

Some things I wouldn't watching (Virg has great taste btw):

Alien Nation, I have seen it several times and its one of the most creative takes on the idea of dealing with differences in race, ethnicity, immigration, etc. Just make it an alien race with each more differences and you find out you still deal with the same thing (well least in this case). I liked most of the series too .

Death Race 2000 is a classic B movie, pair it with the original Rollerball and Running Man for a great trio on sports in the future.

Enemy Mine.. that would be great to run with Alien Nation.

Yep, we watched Death Race 2000, the original Rollerball, and Running Man last semester :-).

Alien Nation is a good suggestion.

Almost everything I have is either Stargate SG1 or movies we've previously watched. I did however buy two movies. I now have random things, A.I and White Noice. Nothing so wonderfull as a group of people sitting together to make fun of horror or Speilberg. Damn fourth Indiana Jones not taking my tittle ideas... Walker of doom, search for the lost bedpan, the last dirty sheet... He's over 50 for crying out loud!

2 recent purchases to add to my list:
