The planet of Amaire is made up of many kingdoms, though two of the most noteable of those are the Kingdoms of Charellis and Witropa.

Charellis was once a peaceful kingdom that would lend its aide to others who needed it. They were prosperous and the lands were fertile which of course made others envious, including Witropa. A war was started between the two kingdoms that would continue to rage for two hundred and thirty years.

About twenty years ago, the leaders of both lands signed a peace treaty that would bring the two kingdoms together and hopefully maintain the peace. Of course, the Crown Prince of Charellis and the Crown Princess of Witropa had to marry to do so.

Twenty years have passed since the signing of the treaty and things are beginning to get back to what they were prior to the war. The time for the wedding is drawing near, and there are mixed feelings between the lands on the joining of the two kingdoms. Where does your heart lie?

Make sure you read everything since there is a lot of information for this RP considering it takes place on a completely different world. When registering, please use just the first and last name with proper capitalization.

Witropa
Pronounciation: Vee-tro-pah
Capital City: Lorelle

Religion & Beliefs:
Witropa is a kingdom that heavily relies on human intuition and potential. They don’t have much room for gods and goddesses after that. The common populace is generally a very scientific society, and though they do believe in magic (it is quite evident that it exists) they do not rely on it heavily; believing that human potential has a wider array of outcomes than relying on the mystic.

The people of Witropa aren’t always keen on having magic present. They are more impressed by the mechanics of a machine and the workings in the human mind. In this community having a child that is born with magical abilities is more of a curse than a blessing and the children are often sent of to ‘schools’ to keep them away from society.

This way of working hasn’t completely handicapped the everyday lives of the people. Their technology is far more advanced than those around them. Witropa is the sole kingdom that has some out with many of the machines and tools that the world uses today.
Terrain/Environmental Limitations and Advantages:
Witropa is a very mountainous kingdom, filled with a lush greenery of pine trees and oak, large snow capped mountains, and beautiful river valleys. It’s a gorgeous place to live, but beauty definitely comes with a price.

Seeing that there is very little land to spare for farms and gardens since most of the environment is made up of cliffs, mountains, and forest; Witropa has a very difficult time growing their own produce and cultivating wheat. Due to this limitation on what they can get, their main diet consists of goat, sheep, lamb, river fish and poultry. They get meat from all five of these, but can also get milk and cheese from the goats.

The only vegetables they can easily get their hands on are the ones that grow in the ground, such as carrots, beats, and potatoes. Anything that grows above it or on a tree is virtually impossible to grow in such an environment and is very expensive to get, since they must be traded from distant lands. Rich Nobles and Royalty are the only social class that can afford them.

The Kingdom of Witropa has some of the richest mountains in Amaire, which are full of energy providing crystals that are used in machines and tools all over the world. They easily have one of the most exclusive monopolies on the crystals and use them in trade. The lush supply of powerful energy is one of the main reasons the kingdom has such a love for human discovery and technology. The mountains are riddled with mines both private and public.
Architecture:
The architecture in the kingdom of Witropa is reminiscent of traditional buildings in Germany. They are usually built quite close together and several of them are quite tall reaching five stories. They are made of white plaster and dark woods. They have steep roofs and framed window set beautifully throughout the building

The Exception to this rule is Patoka Castle, which houses the royal family and is the central of all the government in Witropa. Patoka Castle was commissioned several hundred years ago to architects outside the two main kingdoms and doesn’t have the dark brow, but quant, look of the rest of the building in the land.
Economy:
The Economy in Witropa is mostly kept in balance the rich supply of crystals and mechanical know-how. The kingdom trades many machines and crystals on an everyday basis, making it a rather rich place, but a struggling one at the same time. Seeing as three of the very important food groups are missing, nutritional stinting is bound to happen. What they do have is often traded for the foods that they do not.

On a day to day basis, however, the trading and buying between the people of Witropa is done in the market place. The largest of them all lies in the city of Lorelle. Anything that can possibly be bought or traded that would have been built or grown on Witropa land can be found here.

Charellis
Pronounciation: Shar-ell-is
Capital City: Rostalie

Religion & Beliefs:
Charellis is a kingdom that believes very much in magick as well as the ebb and flow of energy that accompanies the planet. Though they do not necessarily have an organized religion that everyone follows, there are definitely strong beliefs in this kingdom.

There is a belief that Amaire has a spirit that can hear and respond to the wishes of the people that live there. It is not necessarily a belief in a god or a goddess, but more in the soul of the planet itself. It is thought that the magick that the mages have comes directly from that Spirit in an attempt to lend aide to the people that will hear its call. That is part of the reason why magick has thrived in this kingdom for so long.

As a way to honor the Spirit of Amaire, there are four large festivals that are held every year in accordance with the changing of the seasons to celebrate everything that had happened in the previous season as well as what will come from the new season. Besides, it is the perfect excuse to have a large party four times of year.
Terrain/Environmental Limitations and Advantages:
Charellis is a kingdom full of farms, forests, and a coastline that brings in trade with the fresh sea air. It is an incredibly fertile land even after the war, but it does come with problems. Due to its flatness as well as how open the land is, it tends to leave the land open to attack. It has no mountains or cliffs to lend aide in keeping unwanted visitors out.

A lot of Charellis is made up of farms. Some of those farms focus on growing crops like wheat, corn, rice, and other produce. Others focus on livestock and dairy so that the kingdom has plenty of meat, cheese, milk, and more to consume and trade. On top of that, they are also able to get fish on a regular basis from the sea that borders them. The second of five clues to the passcode is the first letter of the month that your character was born.

The sea brings more than just fish to Charellis though. It is a trade route that they have to other kingdoms on Amaire and allows them to get things that they do not have easier than they would otherwise. It also opens another trade route for them to sell the produce, meat, and dairy that they have there.
Architecture:
Charellis’ architecture is very similar to that of the British Tudor style of building. Unlike Witropa’s architecture the buildings aren’t usually built any taller than two stories tall. They are made of either gray stone or red brick with dark brown wood trim, with quite steep roofs. The buildings aren’t usually built right on top of each other like in Witropa, but they are close enough so that the residences have neighbors.

Teriena Palace is a beautiful building made of stone and brick. The palace is a beautiful collection of tall towers and steep roofs. There are a few glass ceilings and a few towers with green aged copper roofs.
Economy:
The Economy in Charellis is definitely a good one. Due to the magick that the mages can weave, they almost always have a large surplus of produce and other goods. They have plenty to feed the kingdom with enough leftover that they can trade and sell their goods in order to get the other things that they do need.

There are two large marketplaces in Charellis which is where most of the trading is done. One is in the city of Rostalie which is where all trading can be done for things that were created or grown in Charellis. The other is located in the port city of Meriel and that is mainly for trade between Charellis and other kingdoms.
