Kate walked inside Starbucks, craving for a Ice-latte. She pushed a strand of her red hair behind her shoulder and took off her big sunglasses. She wore a simple outfit and her long red hair was loose. She walked up to the counter and ordered a Ice Latte in a cup-to-go. She sat down in a chair and looked around. She saw no-one she recognized, so she pulled out her cell-phone and wrote a message to a friend.

She felt she had a real hung-over since last nights party. She had drank so much she coulden`t stand on her feet, and that was bad. She had dark-rings under her eyes and her eyes were cloudy. She put down her cell-phone in her pocket again and just then she got her Latte. She payed for it and then took a sip from the straw that was in the drink. It tasted like heaven, and Kate let out a small moan of satisfaction. She was starting to walk out when she bumped into someone. Her latte spilled all over her top and she gasped. "Could you watch where your going?" She snapped and then looked up to see who it was.

Travis was always up early for work during the week, and so on the weekends, he just automatically got up early. He couldn't get back to sleep, so he got up, got dressed and headed to Sarbucks in his car to get some coffee. Besides, there was nothing else to do, right? His life as a struggling musician was starting to get pretty boring, and he sometimes just wished that he could get his big break. But that just wasn't going to happen any time soon.

He parked up outside the store and got out, locking it as he walked off. When he pushed open the door however, his lack of attention meant that he walked straight into someone. He looked up. Shit. It was a girl, and her coffee had gone all down her top. "Oh my god, I am so sorry!" he said, not really knowing what to do.

Oh dear. Kate had officially just snapped off a gorgeous guy. COuld this day get any worse? A unconsious blush appeared on her cheeks and she looked down on her drained top, and saw that it was now see-through. She folded her arms in a desperate way to try to cover up. She looked up at the guy with wrinkled eyebrows and said:"Whatever. Your gonna have to give me a ride home, couse you owe me big time and I have no car." She could just imagine Preston laughing his ass off if he saw this scene. But the very fact that she was completaly embaressed, drowned in Ice latte and completaly embaressed again was not funny at all. And the fact that the guy was really hot just made it worse.

Travis could tell that the girl was pissed, but the blush he saw appear in her cheeks gave him the impression that she was a bit embarrassed, and he didn't want her to feel like that. Besides, it had been his fault anyway.

He gave her a smile. "I guess I really should, seeing as it was my fault" he said, watching her as she folded her arms to cover up her now see-through top. Inside, he smirked to hismelf. He supposed the situation was not all bad however. This girl was pretty hot.

Kate gave him a small smile and said:"Thank you." With a tone that clearly said she was not amused by any of this. She sipped up her jacket so he woulden`t see her brah atleast. She looked around as to see if she had any guys staring at her. She did, so she continued:"Hey, are you gonna get anything, or?" It was just common curtesy, she didn`t really care about him, right?

She went and ordered another Ice latte and got it very soon. She took a sip from it and was very carefull when she approached the guy again,couse she didn`t want to get latte over her again.

Travis returned the smile, however the tone in her voice told him she was not one to mess with. Lucky he was a nice guy really... He walked past her to order a strong cappachino, paying the guy behind the counter, and then walked back over to where she was standing after she had bought another coffee also.

"Y'know" he started, taking a sip of his coffee before looking at her again. "My place is literally just around the corner. It'd be quicker if you wanted to just clean yourself up or something..." he gave her a smile. "I have a washing machine" he said jokingly.

At his offer, Kate coulden`t help but smile. She thought about it for a second and said:"Sure, that`d be cool." She took another sip of her ice-latte and asked:"Shall we?" It was getting really embaressing when she had a huge stain on her top, so she wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. She tried to figure out what top to wear, since she had bought like five today. She looked up to him with a small smile on her face.

She felt really hot, and it was becouse of the damn sun and the leather jacket she had to keep on so that people didn`t see things they should not be seeing. She took out a magazine she had bought and waved it infront of her face with a sigh.

Travis gave her a smile as she agreed to come back to his house. He took another sip of his coffee, before walking over to the door, pushing it open, walking out, and then holding it open for her to follow. True as it was that he lived only a few blocks away, his laziness had meant that he had drove here.

He walked over to his car and unlocked it with the keys he had now taken out of his pocket. "Jump in!" he said, looking at her again and smiling, before opening his own door and getting intside, placing his coffee into the cup holder.

Kate gave him a thanks when he opened the door for her, with a smile added. She followed him to his car and got into the passenger´s seat. She put her bags in the back seats and took a sip of her latte. "Nice car."She said with some admire in her voice. She then leaned back and put her sun glasses on and squinted her eyes, becouse of the sudden light that hit her eyes. She then checked her watch and widened her eyes."Hey could you step on it, I have a hair appointment in like a hour." She was dying her hair at the salong today so she had better not be late. She always dyed her hair at the salong where she worked, so she could really trust the people that were dying her hair.

"Thanks" said Travis as he put his keys in the engine to start the car. He may have a crummy dead end job, but his mother certainly didn't. Yeah, they had gone through a phase when they barely had enough to live, but tht hadn't ;asted long, and pretty soon his mother had got a job and worked her way up to become one of the best hairdressers in Los Angeles. He turned the keys, and the engine started.

When she asked him to step on it, Travis looked at her and smiled as he pulled off and out of the parking lot, onto the main road. Was she cutting him short? Whatever. He had only just met her after all, it wasn't as if he was hoping for marriage. He turned left, and tried to make steady conversation as he drove. He was about to speak, when he realised that he didn't even know the girls name.

"I'm Travis by the way" he said. "I would say its nice to meet you, but it would have probably been better if I hadn't" he said, referring to the spilled coffee.

Kate let out a soft chuckle, it was true that they could have met in a better way."Nice to meet you Travis, Im Kate." She introduced herself with a grin on her face. She wasent usually this perky, she just felt really nice today. She flicked her hair behind her shoulders then pulled out her cell-phone."Im just gonna text my dear brother Prston to see if he can give me a ride home. My best guesses are that he will say no." She sighed at her brother, he was friendly to her when he felt like it. And that was usually not often since Kate seemed to really push his buttons sometimes. She texted him a quick message and added that she was now in a car with a hottie that was much hotter then Preston, but she just hoped Travis didn`t see that. After she was done she put down her cell-phone.

Travis smiled at her before taking his coffee from the cup holder, taking a sip, and then putting it back. It was already getting cold, but they were almost at his apartment block anyway. When she mentioned texting her brother to pick her up, he looked at her again. "I hope he isn't the protective type" he said jokingly, turning a sharp corner into the parking lot of his apartment block. He pulled up in a space, turned off the engine, and took out his keys.

"Well, here we are..." he said, turning to look at her, and giving her yet another smile. For some reason, he felt in a good mood today. "First floor. Not far." he said simply, taking his coffee and opening his car door.

"Im more the protective one since Im one year older then him. But you better watch out anyway."She replied jokily. When they got there, Kate stepped out of the car and looked around the parking lot. "Good thing you live on the first floor, I hate stairs." She said, her diva attitude slightly bumping in a little. She got her bags out of the car and walked with him to his apartment. It was a nice block, then she realised she herself didn`t live far from here.

On some level she had the feeling that this was going to be a good day even though she had yet another latte spilled shirt.
