Ill be adding Cursed Company to my Chaos and Desert Dogs to my TK
Skullz: Timber as in when you chop a tree. Before it falls you yell timber. As in youll be yelling timber when the army falls. Its taken from a movie wink.gif

Hmm, lotsa talk 'bout these Ogre Kingdom people... I take it as they've been released? And yea good idea, I never even thought, DoW for flank covers.
En Sabah Nur Posted on Dec 7 2004, 08:26 PM
In my Daemonic Legion army, I only have 2 units that have flanks. And they're completely expendable (Units of 10 horrors). Everything else is a flyer.

In my Ogre Kingdoms army, when it gets here, I'll probably be using Gnoblar Trappers to march block, and use my superior movement to negate flanks. If you're carving through 2 units a turn, flanks aren't quite as important. wink.gif Well, they are. But with such small flanks (one rank), I'm not that worried. If they do flank charge me, I'll probably just use another unit to flank them. And of course, Yhetees will be used liberally.

And DoW are a way for unimaginative or subpar generals to overcome the disadvantages of their list without using their own troops.

Yes, see thats my point it isnt an unfair advantage either way it usualy (could depend on the persons use) evens out.

Also: Whats with the "Timber" thing?
Haebel the Tormentor Posted on Nov 18 2004, 08:34 AM
Theyre both good and bad. You dont have the range f the cannon or the single smashine power when you use knights, but you get a countin uous stream of carnage... either way theyre gonna die. did someone yell timber?
LordOfSkullz Posted on Nov 10 2004, 01:52 AM
well they sometimes have a relative argue meant about they do have the best cc and etc but then again if it was so much of a advantage havin a cannon instead of a couple of knights why would GW allow it.
Haebel the Tormentor Posted on Nov 8 2004, 06:32 PM
having a DoW unit isnt cheesy. i see it as a logical step. Since Chaos cannot take cannons etc, theyd hire them out from mercenaries. perfectly logical. if someone cries cheese, tear him a new sphincter. Did someone yell timber?
LordOfSkullz Posted on Nov 6 2004, 08:35 PM
I've always wanted to get DoW cannons, but wouldnt wanna face the crys of " cheese" and all the rest. But i wanted to make it so they were enslaved and have Marauder Guards stand around have them chained to the Cannon or what not.
Haebel the Tormentor Posted on Nov 5 2004, 08:06 AM
now now now, that was never saID wink.gif
Anyways, what also works well (not for Chaos though) is a war machine. Maybe a DoW war machine in order to protect the vulnerable flank and blast the enemy from here to the next world. If Chaos, maybe a sorceror with shadow lore, since they can have steed of shadows as well as hurling nasty spells from their flank biggrin.gif
