Hey guys, well I don't know who if any will see this, but since my brother and I moved, I once again find myself a steady gaming partner, without having to venture to a GW or the like (and risk the chance of getting into games with annoying gamers, we all know them!). of course this wont mean I wont go out to game either.
But more to the point, we faced the problem of our only gaming surface is our dining room table and as good as this is for me (for some armies) its a tad to small, and with the rounded edges even smaller. And as he is a High Elf Player / Dark Eldar he is quiet opposed to such a small table (mainly for the Dark Eldar needing room to maneuver and such) I as well wouldn't mind a larger one of course either, Skaven do like the open space =P let alone, the simple fact more room, = bigger games, more fun (for the both of us) and well just all around simply more appealing to have your own table specifically for Warhammer! So this post deals with my table(s) I built in about 1 hour, (night before I started but with the lack of sleep of some odd day or so, I gave up and thought I'd leave it for today) So without further ado... Materials: 8' x 1 1/2'' x 1 1/2 wood (for frame) 4' x 8' x 5/8's plywood (for surface) Brackets (optional) (recommended) Wood Screws, and screws for brackets Step 1: Frame work: ![]() I started with the frame wood (pre cut into 4 foot lengths), copping off another 3''s off of 2 pieces (or it wont make a 4x4' table I just took the bracket placed it on the wood marking with a marker, drilled pre screw holes, screwed into place. Close up of brackets: ![]() With the brackets and frame work secure, I added half of the gaming surface (I had to get the playwood cut into 2x4 strips as my ride didn't have the room needed to fit anything larger). I just roughly placed screws every 8 inches or so along the side, only difference was on the parts where the smaller sides met I had one at each corner of the wood (not just the table). As well pre drilled the holes and screwed in. Half Table: ![]() Repeating the same step as above add the secound section. ![]() Table Complete: ![]() So with that its done, it is pretty simple, hope this helps any questions fire away. If I left something unclear. Its a really cheap way of making a table as well, spent under 70$ (Canadian) on all of the wood. Had the screws and brackets at home already from other projects and what not. with that stuff all thrown in you still come in under the 80$ mark. Further note, I've made 2 so far (need more wood for frame, but have all the plywood already.) Being able to place together all of these tables, is really neat going from a simple 4x4 table and up 4x8, 4x12, or other configurations of course. I'll be adding folding legs, to them all as well, to keep with the easy storage I set out for when they're not in use. Thanks enjoy. -------------------- "Blood for the Blood God!!!"

Painting and flocking next. But leaving it flat, for now. So we can just set up terrain whatever way we feel like, leaves it open.
But after wards.... I plan on making some boards to place on top out of foam specific to each of the races we both play. (And to help aid in the campaign(once I either re write the rule book or recover the one that got erased of my HD)) Only problem with that is storage... (also why i wont make it permanent now on these, takes away the easy storage aspect. And whoops wrong pic at the end, switched it for the proper one sorry about that. =P -------------------- "Blood for the Blood God!!!"

All that's needed for that table is a cup holder and you're good to go, hehe -------------------- |
