ISTANBUL (AP) - Fourteen soccer teams have threatened to leave the Turkish soccer league if it doesn't agree to give a greater share of broadcast revenues to smaller clubs.

Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Bestiktas and Trabzonspor - Turkey's biggest clubs - receive half of existing broadcast revenues, while the other 14 clubs share the rest.

The smaller clubs say the existing system is unfair and want to scrap it for one that will distribute the revenues more evenly and reward teams according to their performance.

"Otherwise, we will openly and clearly let the federation know that we aren't going to participate," Genclerbirligi president Ilhan Cavcav said on behalf of the 14 smaller clubs.

There was no immediate reaction from Turkey's Soccer Federation.
