WHAT IS THE CANON BASIS OF THE SITE? COMICS, FILM, AU?

technically, the x-men films are what we're based off of. our site started out one year after the third film, and has slowly been progressing from there, perhaps taking on a more AU take now that we're warping bits and pieces of what we know from the comics into our site. that essentially means we do not expect to see canons one hundred percent based on their comic counter parts. a creative license is encouraged here so long as the character is believable, and you incorporate the films into the history.

WHAT ABOUT X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE?

parts of that may be used in character histories, but not all of it. emma and kayla are not sisters here. however, wolverine and sabertooth may be brothers if their characters choose to play them that way. as you can see, members of the weapon x program that died in the film are not dead here, so we aren't going to count that film as part of our canon world on the site.

ARE THE FACES SET IN STONE?

yeah, they are. sorry. we wanted a diverse cast of characters: different ethnic backgrounds, different ages, and so on. if you need help finding pictures, just ask.

I LOOKED UP MY CHARACTER, AND SOME OF THEIR POWERS AREN'T LISTED ON YOUR CANON LIST THAT ARE ON THEIR WIKI PAGE.

yeah, a lot of characters had their powers toned down to be more believable, make them less powerful, etc. why? because we're going on the movie basis of there being five classes for mutants, with five being the most powerful -- and if you watch the films, jean grey is the only known class five mutant. while others may come close, and while some should technically be a class five from their comic versions, i will say not to allowing them that much power on the site. it's hard enough to make jean grey a playable character without going into god-modding territory. so the powers on our canon list is what we want to see for the characters, and nothing more than that.

ARE ORIGINALS ALLOWED ON THE SITE?

no, and yes. we do not allow original characters, especially mutants, but as time goes on we are adding original humans to the canon lists that are essential because of the position they hold, etc. the marvel universe is so expansive that it's silly to make original characters when half our canons are really open books in terms of backgrounds. names have been created for many that did not have names. those without set code names are able to be given one by their player ... but the only real originals we have are the humans created specifically for this site, sorry.

THE OMEGAS/RESISTANTS, WERE THEY PART OF THE MORLOCKS AT ONE TIME?

It started with the Morlocks, who hid out in the sewers because they weren't accepted by humans, whether it be for their disfigurements and or awkward mutations. While everything went on aboveground, they remained underground - some tried to merge with those above for work, but lived in the sewers. The Morlocks were very secluded, and Callisto led them. When Magneto spoke and gained her attention, she pledged herself and those that would follow her to his cause. Some of the Morlocks who wanted revenge on the humans and were not peaceful formed the Omegas, while the rest stayed behind under Caliban's wing. They fought alongside the Brotherhood and have gone aboveground to take back what is rightfully theirs. After Callisto was killed at Alcatraz, they have been scattered and a little confused about what to do.

Most of the Omegas were originally Morlocks, but if someone wants to join, they're usually recruited by another member and they have to get a tattoo for it.

SOME RELATIONSHIPS WERE CHANGED FROM THE COMICS IN THE FILMS -- LIKE MYSTIQUE AND NIGHTCRAWLER. I TAKE IT ON YOUR SITE MYSTIQUE IS NOT NIGHTCRAWLER'S MOTHER?

that would be correct. they only met while working together at alkali lake.

why is that?
