Last year the world witnessed a miracle in the form of a cure called "hope", soon followed by the awakening of a power hungry entity known as the "phoenix". The latter was defeated at the cost of a life while the former was validated by the FDA and made readily available to clinics across the country.

But a year has passed, and while lives have begun to return to normal, darkness is slowly creeping back into the world. Rebirth is leading to a new age in the war between humans and mutants ... and it will all begin with one word: hope.

    LATE BREAKING NEWS

    okay, it's official, the may event is up. now, this event is going to work slightly differently. everyone has signed up to be rolled in the lottery, which means even if your character is rolled to die in the may event, you have to post in the article, because the end results will be verified in a separate post by the government account.

    basically, in your post you will be posting about your capture. the sentinels are being sent in to capture mutants, regardless of their ages and regardless of whether or not they've been deemed a threat to society. those of you that are rolled to fall into hiding will be verified as an escaped mutant, or missing, depending on how the pm discussion goes.

    that means your post will probably end on a slightly vague note. for the most part, the results are between you and the government account. should you choose to share your results with another member, that's up to you, but for the most part the reason for the pm is to keep a lid on most of the results and reveal a few unexpected surprises when the summer season comes into play.

    the pm will clarify more things about how this event will work, but just note this: do not post in the may event until you have been given the okay by the government account. this event is not going the same way that the other events have gone, and we need to be sure that you understand what's going on with your character before letting you post -- because, yes, changes are coming for the summer season on our site.

    so, this will be left here for reference's sake for now, ask questions here, or pm either the government or cerebro account if you're still unsure as to how things work. pm's will be sent to each character's account to go over the lottery results, and then may will slowly begin, threads can slowly be finished up, and in about two months time we will make the big switch.
