THESE gorgeous girls are proof that you need more than a pretty face to be in the Miss Ireland final.

The beauties who will battle it out for this year's crown lined up at Dublin's Shelbourne Hotel.

Legal eagles, auctioneers, accountants, students and bank officials are among the contes tants desperate to take the title from Sarah Morrissey.

The competition, which is sponsored by RehabBingo.com, will come to a close at the Silversprings Hotel in Cork on June 30.

Model agent Mags Humphries, who organises the competition alongside former Miss Ireland Andrea Roche, praised this year's girls.

She said: "We have a really high standard of entries this year.

"All the girls have looks and personality to match so it is going to be tough for the judges to pick a winner.

"It is the first time we have held the Miss Ireland final outside Dublin and we sold out all 500 seats over a month ago - before the last finalist was selected."

The final will be hosted by 3's Alan Hughes and all 25 girls will be put through their paces by judges including top models Glenda Gilson and former winner Aoife Coogan, tenor Paul Byrom, VIP Style Award winner Lisa Fitzpatrick and rugby player Alan Quinlan. Mags said: "We are also hoping that Kian Egan from Westlife will join us as a judge on the big night if s schedule allows."

Paddy Power bookmakers has tipped Miss Heart & Soul as the early favourite.
