* THE GIST OF THINGS
i. all eight of these people are from the same small, nearly insignificant town in washington, called little jengerson. they grew up together, their bond held intact by a common goal: to be recognized for their passion and talent. some shared whatever interest it was that captivated them (i.e, acting), some didn’t. but somehow, despite age differences, they all managed to stay close.
ii. along the way they helped each other out where they could, recommending someone to act in this or to write that. they were in it together, and once the first of them to break through in the business (snow), all knew it was only a matter of time before all eight names were considered household-worthy.
iii. quickly, snow went on tour with the band winstead drummed and wrote the lyrics for, and within months both acts were all over the place, and hype surrounded each of their upcoming releases.
iv. both records went gold, and then platinum, and it was when both winstead and snow had ambrose, gray, and kennedy appearing in their music videos that Hollywood began buzzing about the three. all three actors starred in a movie together, which came in as number one in its opening weekend. with a bit more effort, all three became just as famous as their musician friends.
v. frey and talbot became slightly jealous of how quickly their friends’ careers were taking off, and it began causing rifts in the group. even when both models began to achieve the same level of success as the other five, the tension did not disappear.
vi. van alan had the hardest time becoming successful. as someone who worked behind the scenes on movies, no one really paid much attention to her. however, once she began being noticed for her beauty at premieres, people began paying closer attention to her work, and her level of respect in the business grew.
vii. all eight achieved their dreams, but somehow not all were happy. be it drug problems, apathy towards everything around them, a feeling of helplessness, bitterness or a hunger for even mow, something bothered all of them.
viii. they found it harder and harder to confide in each other, and arguments began dividing up the once close-knit friends.
ix. like any ‘family’, certain members are scrambling to pick up the pieces to mend whatever it was the broke between them, however, it doesn’t seem to be that easy. Jealousy, anger, annoyance and love keep weaseling their way into everything, despite their efforts.
