One thing is for certain -- he looks terrific, and also quite natural and comfortable, done up in Victorian or Edwardian gear. Some men -- Colin Firth, for example -- just have the look for these period pieces, and some really don't. All these years of being fashion conscious and really liking to dress are probably paying off for Daniel.

The movie looks like a lot of other things -- but there never seems to be a lack of interest for more of this genre of bluish-gray-lighted, grainy gothic hauntings. Hope it comes off well for them, and like better pieces of the genre suggests more than it actually shows.
