Title: Transformer Themed Beverages

Velocity - October 4, 2009 07:24 AM (GMT)
I was looking on the internet for Transformer themed beverages and couldn't find a thing. So I figure why not make my own?

And why not make a game out of this? The only rule to this game is that you have to be willing to drink your beverage whether mocktail or cocktail. I'll start with the two I managed to work out.

Tracks:
2 parts Blue Curacao
2 parts Creme de Banana
1 part Brandy
1/2 part GoldSchlaegger
1 marachino cherry (garnish)

Shake all alcohols with ice and strain into martini glass. Drop in stemmed cherry. If you're a better bartender than me try pouring the Creme de Banana into the martini glass then dropping in the cherry. Shake remaining ingredients with ice and strain then pour over a spoon gently into the glass to get a layered effect. I've failed each time I've tried it.

Ark-6
4 parts Orange Vodka (You can use orange Capri Sun or barely sweetened lemonade for a mocktail)
1 part triple sec
1 part Tang

Rim glass with cinnamon sugar. Shake ingredients with ice and strain into glass.

If I had a better knowledge of pink/red ingredients I'd make a High Grade of some sort but I'm not there yet.

Sounds like awesome! Maybe next time we're all together again, we'll all be of age and can actually play some drinking games with these. 'Liver Suicide' would be for everytime there's an explosion in RotF, you take a shot. Scenes where the camera is spinning around the actors? 3 shots :D

I don't have any recipes yet but when I invent the 'Energon' (I think purple Mountain Dew will be involved somehow), I'll be sure to post it.

Well, I did actually find this on DA a year or two ago:

QUOTE (*Solaryear on DA)
- Absolut Citron
- Campari
- Guava Juice
- Strawberry Syrup
- Lemon
- Soda Water
- Flashing Ice Cubes (Light Cube) or Glow Cup

ALL SENTIENT VEHICLES MUST NOT DRIVE AFTER DRINKING.

Though I'm not really a drinker myself, so I couldn't tell you how it would taste. Geoff is convinced that it would be horrible, so there you go. :P But oh man, this party idea sounds awesome. I think we should watch the 86 movie too... that's full of all kinds of stuff.

Velocity - October 4, 2009 07:17 PM (GMT)
Totally have to do the movie party. Sounds like total win to me. Though if we're going to take a shot every time there is an explosion or spinning camera work we'll have to tone down the shots.

As for the recipe the ingredients are sound, if a little redundant. I've never tried Campari but my aunt says its like the Limoncello and Grapefruitcello she made so combined with the Citron it'd probably add to a gasoline like after effect. Despite how that sounds its not bad, especially if you do pay extra to get Absolut which is very smooth. And the glow cube is genius.

Nucleon-

1- Bottle of Czech Strong Absinthe
1- 8-ball of uncut Bolivian cocaine

*May or may not result in loss of transformation abilities. May effect all mechanoid lifeforms differently. Not to be consumed by gestalt components within 48 cycles of combination.

Trufax, would you drink that? I mean I know a few people who would but that is most certainly not a drink for most people.

I have another one though, this is good for people who don't like to taste their alcohol.

G1 Skyfire

4 parts milk
2 parts creme de banana
2 parts berry vodka (I suggest Pinnacle or Seagrams)

Pour in reverse order listed into glass of choice that has been chilled (or better yet made of ice). Garnish with red berry of choice wedged on the side of the glass.

Zonadow - October 5, 2009 05:13 PM (GMT)
Ooh, I'd drink the Skyfire one.
Personally I'd like it with orange Russian vodka, but that's just me.
I'll ask my mom if she can think of anything. I'm pretty sure she used to bartend.

Firebird67 - October 5, 2009 06:46 PM (GMT)
The Mixmaster -

Beer.

There ya go.

Zonadow - October 5, 2009 07:11 PM (GMT)
You fill a blender full of crushed ice, then you fill it 3 quarters full of vodka, then one large can of frozen limeade, and blend it.

And you can't taste the alcohol and it creeps up on you.
Has to be limeade, not lemonade. That's mom's drink, she called it the 'Bullfrog'.
I have no idea how it would taste XD so I don't know what it would resemble.

The Bulkhead Special

1 shot of Jack Daniels dropped in a half pint of Guinness and chugged.

Should have the same effect on humans as it did on Mix-Master and Scrapper ;)

I don't think it would be horrible I just find something wrong with a drink called energon that doesn't at least have an energy drink in it. Though energy drinks and liqueur can be a rather lethal combination.

Absinthe? Would and have. I'dd recommend going easy on the side of Bolivian health food mind you, but yeah, Absinthe is a great time. If ya can handle the 120 proof wormwood kick that is. Not that most of you would have to worry though, I do believe Absinthe is verboten in the USA.

Only place in North America one can get the Absinthe I'm talkin' 'bout is Alberta, Canada.

Also, don't mind me, I'm not really to be taken seriously. Above recipe post is just jokes. ;)

Not anymore it is perfectly legal. Though it does conform to the same restrictions that the UK puts on it so the actual content of wormwood is very low. However it's not illegal to increase the level yourself, so long as you have no intention of selling it.

Nice! Well, my recommendation would be not to waste yer liver on that low-content stuff. Absinthe without wormwood is a couple proof short of paint thinner. :P

I've tried the DIY-additive thing to mild success during a distribution drought of the good stuff, so experimentation is key I guess. Me fellows and I just ended up losing patience and ordered a case right from the distillery in the Czech Republic. :B

Stunningly, it arrived intact!

Velocity - October 6, 2009 05:44 AM (GMT)
Oh absinthe is good (sis's present for my 21st was a very good bottle). I'm planning on getting a good bottle next time I'm abroad as its difficult to get it out here. Short of making friends with the liquer store who's got sources and even then you have to buy a whole case.

I don't like energy drinks so the only recipe I condone with it is the Night Thrasher. 1 oz Nyquil, 4 oz Red Bull, 2 oz Gin. One night you hope you don't remember.

And Zonadow, the Bullfrog would like taste like a very tart, tongue chilling Limeade from Sonic. I bet putting one part cherry vodka to two parts regular would make it like a Cherry Limeade. I think I'll have to try that out should CA thaw out. ^-^

Zonadow - October 7, 2009 08:31 AM (GMT)
The nearest Sonic restaurant is a couple hundred miles away...XD

Mom said she was hosting a party, and the drinks were really popular, and the guests didn't believe that there was a lot of alcohol in it and by night they were all passed out on her floor and her blender was ruined.

XD

a bit off perhaps, but I though of an alcohol free drink

I though of coke with lemon in and a lot of ice. A Bumblebee one, you get both the black and yellow, and bumblebee is quite popular with the kids and such, also pretty small himself, so I though it would fit :P but perhaps to and something more? I dunno :P

It would be cool if you put a strip of lemon peel wrapping around the class so you had yellow and black "stripes."

I think making the kid friendly characters nonalcoholic drinks is a good idea. I'd planned on that with the drink I'm working on for Wheelie.

And it sounds cute. ^.^

Sometimes I just have a lot of free time :D

I tried to make the "Bumblebee"
It's a lot more yellow than the picture shows.

That is so cute!

I'm totally going to have to try it out.

Sedra - October 16, 2009 08:55 PM (GMT)
It was very tasty :) Lemon and coke goes well together. I was thinking of adding a small yellow umbrella with a red Autobot sign on it, but I didn't have any umbrellas or paint.
