pffft! I like never come here.... (actually I kinda forgot about this place)
All completed (and if you went to Botcon 2010, you might have seen it)

Yes, that's me, inside the costume, in my own living room =P
There's more pics here on my flickr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/saltycoffee16...57624396896846/It's not my first costume, and not the first robot costume I worked on either.
SG Prime is the 2nd robot costume and 5th costume total to date.
Sorry, no in progress pics... I didn't take any. ^^; I was rushing to get this costume done in time for Botcon and did it right before I had to leave for a month to take care of family-related emergency.
Took me 2 weeks to complete - including screwing up the head initially (I made it 4 times bigger than the final result you see in the photo).
Completely sewn together.
Materials:
Alova Suedecloth & Upholstery foam
The frame of the head is wonderflex - I pulled the fabric over it.
The mouth is screen-door material (that's where I could see out of it)
And the hands were just a pair of winter gloves I robbed from my brother's mech costume -- I didn't have time to go find/buy a pair for myself.
The costume comes together by use of a harness (measured & made to fit just the person who's wearing it -- that would be me in this case). Harness made out of webbing (strap material - and ubber amounts of strong) And the use of Fast-release clips (like the ones you see on backpacks & some really large duffle bags..... and those clips on belts on shopping carts for children).
Moving in this thing was rather easy (fabric... it... flexes.... heh). I could run & dance in this thing. XD
Er... problems with it?
It gets really HOT in it (when I have the head on.... I was fine without the head). I wore one of those camelbak water packs filled with ice underneath to help. =P
