Due to very few good shots of Soundwave's back and aft, I have mixed the show design with the toy design. Instead of giving him the huge rounded 'backpack' from the show, I have based it more off of the toy without the wings.

Laserbeak SCRAPPED

Due to the guy I have been talking to about making a flying Laserbeak bailing out on me, Laserbeak will not be able to fly... He will still be removable, but won't fly (unless I can find someone else who knows how to make a styrofoam glider from scratch...)

Updated Sketches/Designs

Anyone know where I might be able to find a small audio wave thingy and speakers I may be able to fit under the mask and a small sound effects box that you can put your own audio into?

Update

Added the back designs for Soundwave.
And it seems (at the moment) that Laserbeak will not be able to fly... =(

I am planning to start building the helm after my surgery next Monday. That is, if I am not knocked out by the medications I will probably be taking at that time...

Finally able to start working again. Started working on the torso. Due to an accident, the helm mock-up I had made can no longer be used... (Dangit mom, stop messing up my stuff) Removable Laserbeak idea has been scrapped.

I am sad to say, but Soundwave has been scrapped...

Three main reasons:
1) I am still healing from my surgery and there is a chance I will not be fully healed by Halloween... I also may be having a surgery to remove the metal plate in my foot around then.
2) After an argument with my mom about my Transformers addiction, most of the stuff I have been working on for Soundwave ended up next to the road for the garbage man... D=
3) Broke with no job until I fully heal and currently going to college...

Also, Soundwave started having some design malfunctions during this time, and I realized I had bit off more than I could chew for my first costume...

Lucky my dad has stepped forward and said that he will help me with my next cosplay after I am fully able to walk. He will be allowing me to use his metal/wood/car workshop to work on my cosplays and house all finished parts. He's even started to sit down with me to figure out the wood-work for a large rig I plan to do later on.

Maybe I will work on Soundwave on down the line... I'm not sure...

Jebas...Sorry to hear all of that D: But that's nice of your dad to offer so much help when you're able to start up again.
