Glowing LED Costume Eyes I saw this on youtube and wondered if it couldn't be altered for a mech cosplay instead. Only problem I see is how you have to put the black tube in the center so you don't burn out your eyes staring at LEDs all day long. cringe And that would show but if you were to cover the 'optic' with a colored sheet of acrylic or something like that, would it show as much I wonder? I know that kick-ass Smokescreen cosplayer seems to have pulled it off but that's the only LED optics I've seen yet. I couldn't find anything on instructibles either.

As far as the eye hole goes I'd just get rid of it and put the optics above your eyes and then just make a viewing area below them, I'm pretty sure that's how Pilot made her mask so you can talk to her about it more. -------------------- Deviant Art

Since I have NO idea how to use those EL sheets, I'm totally lost. Making fake optics is an idea though and placing them higher on my head. Eh, I'm a loooong way from there so I'll see when I get there.

It comes in a large sheet that you can cut to size, with a couple of leads on it that you would use to hook up the power. -------------------- Deviant Art
