Hi everybody. I just joined here yesterday. I just thought i would say hi to everybody. I was over on the sector sixteen forum. I saw a post by one of your forum members with a link to this place so I checked it out. Fo haloween 2008 I was an unofficial member of the hunters lair. For some reason for the life of me I couldnt register to that forum so I had to read every thing but couldnt post. Anyways with their help I put together a predator costume. I went to the club and just missed the prizes by like 5 minutes. I lost to beeker the muppet and the spice girls lol.
And this year around september I had decided to be the terminator t-800 endoskeleton for halloween. in reality it was a not what I envisioned so My gf gave me the idea of being Iron Man. I thought okay it probably wont be so hard so I got to work on making it. It was quite an effort and I barely had any tools from my previous predator costume. It was like 70 percent finished on this halloween. I took alot longer than i thought to make the costume. I went to the club again and I was looking for the announcer I could hear his voice but I couldnt find him. I ended up losing to Bender and Cpt.Jack sparrow. Like ten seconds later i see him at the corner of one of the bars and hes like wtf IRON MAN! where have you been thats the best costume I have seen all night. The Winners were just glaring at me. I felt sooo dumb for being late AGAIN. I was also at a house party for like 2 hours and my buddy told me the contest was over so we left and later an acquaintance told me I missed out on the house party prize. I lost to kermit the frog and miss piggy. I have the worst timing ever.
Anyway the point of all this drivel is that I wanted to try something different this year and Im prepared to dedicated as much effort as possible to get that result. Nothing will decimate the competition like a transformer. My favorite TF is barricade. I want to learn how to wire up Led strobes for the headlights and red and blue siren lights. I guess im gonna learn what i can and share as much as I can with guys thanks for your time bye!

Welcome! I haven't won any contests either though everyone told me I had a great costume this year, ha ha. I'm sure someone or somepost on this forum can help you get your next costume the best it can be, and I look forward to seeing a full-on Barricade costume! Then we need to hook you and one of our Bumblebee's up for a brawl (at least, for the camera's haha). Again, welcome! We don't have a shortage of Transformers Movie-verse character builders here! And, btw, will you be sharing some pictures of that Iron Man costume? I'd like to see it!

Hey Natsume Ryu. I wouldnt mind seeing some pics of your costume either. I will have to post some up when I get a chance. I do 12 hour graveyards 4-5 days a week so when I get off work i basically sleep all day then go back to work. Plus I dont have my own PC i use my familys and gf's computers. But i will def put pics up as soon as i can of my IM costume.
I live in Alberta Canada but in my city most of the young population are not nerds that put alot of effort into their costume like us haha.
Are there any barricades on this forum yet?
P.S I just went to a canadian tire and bought a soldering gun, some soldering wire, elec tape, and a switch. I have lots of AA batteries and when I get a chance im going on ebay to buy some LEDs. I wanted to learn to do make lasers too.

Well, I have pictures of mine in the "Completed Costumes" section - I made Blackout / Grindor. I've only seen three Barricade costumes, and I'm pretty sure none of them are members here. Furthermore, none of them were supposed to be movie accurate, mostly "human formers" (one's called "Femricade") Two of the three costumes were based on the artwork of a guy who drew the movie transformers as women. So, no Barricades here, let alone any movie accurate that I know of anywhere. You might be the first! Have you started a work log yet in the costumes section? Then you can share your designs and materials and we can help you out better.

Well I am really torn between being War machine for halloween 2010 or barricade. But there are some elements in the two costumes tht i would like to learn. For example I want to learn how to wire up lasers and LEDs. I want to make a custom arc reactor and also make strobes and blue/red siren lights to simulate a police car. War machine uses a gatling gun Im not sure what knd of weapon barricade uses.
I dont think I will be iron man again.il keep the helmet as a momento though.
I'll have to start doing research on the WM and barricade.
