Welcome to TCos, the internet's most comprehensive resource for everything about robot cosplay. We are a dedicated community focused on building the best costumes ever to grace the fandom. We dig helping, we dig learning, but most of all, we dig giant robots!

(But mostly, it's a party in here.)

TCos Wants to Move!

Want to help TCos get its own forum, complete with image galleries, wiki, articles, info databases, and more? Then we need your help!

So the $100 goal has so far been met-- but I'll be leaving the donation link up until the move because as far as hosting goes, you really can't have enough funds saved up for that sort of thing. Thanks to everyone who contributes!

Name's Den. I live in the midwest US, in a small-ish town. I've been to twelve conventions since my first in 2005, and have been to BotCon once, in 2011. I've been cosplaying since 2005, though it's only been within the last three years that I've turned my attention towards Transformers and mecha costumes. Right now, my main builds are Deckerd from Brave Police J-Decker, and Midnight Express from Robots in Disguise, though I do have plans to work on an Animated Megatron at some point in the near future.

I've been a Transformers fan since around 1989, and look forward to sharing my work, and learning from others. happy.gif

For posting pics here, you'll need to upload to a site like photobucket, and use the [ img ] tag to display them here.

All I really have to do for that one to be at 100% completion is finish the jacket, make the cape, finish the bowtie, and make the fez. Firebird got to see a bit of a preview at BotCon last year.... When I had a quickly finished-in-the-hotel-room mini top hat, because, yet again, I had run out of time and was doing stuff at the last possible minute...

That is awesome. biggrin.gif I wish I could have hung around the Cosplayers more last year, but personal issues kept me at bay most of the time. :c

I spent most of BotCon running around in a homemade corset as well... so odds are, we prolly crossed paths, without even realizing it....

The corset:

(long since dismantled, since it got autographed and was starting to look a bit worn-down in places... But it was my first one, and it survived the con and the trip back, so I'm not complaining.)

Next TF-themed corset I'm making, I'm going to be adding a bit of "land" to the top....

Trying to decide whether to go with a Jazz-themed corset, a Prowl-themed one, a Bluestreak-themed one, or possibly even a Shockwave-themed one.... If I do Prowl or Bluestreak, I'll also need to add doorwings to the back.... but I've got an idea on how I'll attach the "land"....

Once you make and wear a corset yourself, it's hard to stop planning out new ideas... >.>;;

God yes. xD My silly ideas are silly .... But man I wanna make one of them so very badly. I won't, though, for several years still, I think. I'm not that experienced yet. >____>

I've had some of the costumes on my "Dream Cosplays" list there since about 2008.... And it's only been in the last year that I realized that they could be more than just dreams.... Just go for it.... Cardboard and paper are good for practice runs.

One of our members makes her costumes with shoe boxes, a Pepakura program, and tempura paint.

Well, truth be told, Deckerd and Midnight Express are both cardboard pieces covered with the appropriate fabric colors and designs.... My hot glue gun gets a workout whenever I work on those two....

Haha, ditto with my two glue guns and Breakdown and Lockdown. I have blown through so many bags of sticks like you wouldn't believe. xD
