I know that both of these conventions are held in Florida. I've been fortunate enough to know people who went to one, and always had a blast. then there is my unfortunate chance of never getting the chance to go yet.

Heh. So I'm figuring of why not ask if anyone else has gone to one? It sucks being a Transfan and not knowing where I can meet up with other fans other than online.

*Sticks her tongue out* Anyone else know any Florida-Based Cons or have been to Jacon or Megacon?

Ooo! Me! Pick me! I know! I know!

I've been going to Megacon since 2006. Right now it's the only con I've been going to.

I haven't been to these (had to look some of them up, in fact) but other Florida cons include Metrocon in Tampa (I's like to go down to that one some day... that anime chess match thing looks like fun), Janicon in Jacksonville, Supercon in Miami (I think), Anime Express in Daytona Beach, Anime Festival Orlando um....in Orlando, Anime South in Destin, etc.

There may be more, you just gotta do a search for them. I wish I could give you more information but right now I'm limited to Megacon. *shrug*

I was going to go to megacon 09 but when i found out the origional voice of grimlock, the writer for the series "Transformers: Robots in Disguise AND the guest of honar Stan Bush were going to be at Jacon 09 as well as perform a concert including the song "The Touch" I was like good bye megacon hello Jacon ^^ tongue.gif

I'm a Florida resident too. I really wish I could go to Jacon or maybe Metrocon but *sniff* sad.gif my budget won't allow it.
