i have an icon on the lower rht hand side corner on my laptop that says no battery is detected... battery is still in their, and she is plugged up, guess my battery is just fucked, if i unplug it my laptop dies.. so is my laptop battery fucked? and am i assuming correctly?

sounds like it....is what happened to mine recently.
i left it on for months while plugged in....all that heat killed the battery way faster than normal. |

Its called cycling a battery. "If you don't use it, you lose it." Also, that saying pertains to batteries. If your battery is always 100% (charging 24/7) you lose the other 99% of the battery.
