xx sUBMITTING wORK xx 1. place it under the correct board If your writing is a fictional novel, place it under the fictional novels forum. If your art is a painting, place it under traditional art. Stuff like that. If you're not sure what your writing or art is, ask a Writing Mod. 2. rate it correctly Please read the rating guide topic for more info. If you do not rate your writing correctly, you will be severely punished. Don't hesitate to ask a Writing Mod where it should go. That's their job. In the topic description, you MUST have your rating. (E4, T5, A1, etc.) You must also place your work under the correct sub form. Ex: If you wrote a short story that's rated T2, you would go to the "short stories" board, and then to the "rated T literature" sub form and post it there. Rating does not apply to art, homework, or expressive. If any of those happen to be really gory, sexual, or swear-y, please let us know in your rating summary (read rule 4). 3. the title of your topic should be the title of your work Pretty straightforward. If your short story is called "September", don't have the title of your topic be "My Short Story". You can "dress up" your title, but it must be the title of your literature. (meaning it can be something like [ s e p t e m b e r ] or SePtEmBeR) If you have a "series", please contain the series name as well as the title. 4. your first post is your introductory post Meaning you introduce us to your work. Please provide a summary of your story, like what you would find on the back of a book, if it is a long piece of literature. You must also provide us a rating summary, which tells us what it's rated for. This would be where you explain that it has a brief but very descriptive gory part, or lots of cussing, etc. This will allow readers to have a heads-up of what is to come. In your introduction, tell us about how the story came to be as well. Tell us how many chapters there are, how many hours it took you to write it, what inspired you to do it, what homework assignment it was (if it's homework), why you wrote it, etc. Same goes for artwork. (tell us why you drew it, what inspired you to draw it, when you drew it, how long it took, what tools you used, etc.) 5. artwork can have a rating poll If you're posting art, you may place a "rating poll" for members to vote how good it is. This is not required. If you want to do it, simply have a poll in your topic and give the options of 1 to 10, 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. I will add more to this... xx last updated 092608 |
