user posted imageperation Project Revival has turned out to be a successful movement and Wc3:WoW is now back on its feet and moving along once again. Though the rate of development is starting off on a slow boost, we expect the development to quicken and much should be done. We expect about at least two or three major systems being completed for Wc3:WoW before next month. Maybe more.

user posted imageow that the project is back and up again, this news has reached a couple of our old developers such as the honorable Saitek009 and has interested them to rejoice with the mod again. With their help, along with some of the new help we've managed to bring aboard, progress can be guaranteed to be moving faster and longer now than last time Wc3:WoW as alive. At the moment, the following missions have been sent to the following members to develop Wc3:WoW:
  • HappyTauren: Edit troll player model to have a few new attachment points and create some weapon/armor attachment models for when items are equipped.
  • Av3n: Create new spells for Warrior class.
  • Skrab: Create as many weapon and armor attachment models as possible by using screenshot referances from World of Warcraft.
  • SuPa-: Create the "Grunt" horde guard to be used in areas of Wc3:WoW such as Orgrimmar and Razor Hill.
  • Saitek009: Begin developing Inventory System and Equipment System. (Might also create attachment system along the way)

user posted images you can see, we've got our main focus around player visuality and how they'll be able to manage their items and so on. We're only just beginning though, so who knows what else we'll add along the way of development and afterwards. We have plans of starting to give players the freedom to customize their character's physical traits (look-wise) when making their character at the beginning of the game. When will this be added? That will have to go unanswered for now as there is no determined date. There's too many more higher priority tasks that must be completed before we actually move into that idea further.

It's Alive!

user posted imageinally, the Wc3:WoW mod has been revived by Craka_J once again! Wc3:WoW's old-time leader who had claimed he retired from the Wc3:WoW project has decided finally that Wc3:WoW deserves a bit more attention and simply cannot be abandoned at such a poor state. Craka_J plans to develop Wc3:WoW more now within the visuality of player's characters and the balance within classes.

user posted imagehe first primary goal for Wc3:WoW is to make equipped items become visible on your character which you are in control of. At first, there will most likely not be a ton of items that will be visible, but as time passes and the game is developed more and more, there will be tons to use. So if you equip a sword, a shield, or a helmet, it will appear on your character in the appropriate area (For example, a helmet would obviously go on your head). But in order for this to be applied in Wc3:WoW, the team is focusing on making a new Inventory System and Equipment System which will look similar to the one in World of Warcraft - or so they plan.

user posted imagec3:WoW's second primary goal will be to improve classes and how they are played. Mainly the Warrior and the Rogue. Possibly the Mage or some other magical class as well. This is when they plan to begin creating the Rogue Combo Points System and Warrior Rage System. Both systems will play a large role for the two races and will be good to display once the mod is ready for public release.

user posted images for the terrain of the mod, it will most likely not proceed for a while until Craka_J finds a better computer which can handle Warcraft III and Wc3:WoW's contents. There is hope though, Craka_J has set out to look for a good willing terrainer to work on the mod. So far, ~Void~ is his choice, but is still waiting for his response. More info regarding this will come soon!

It seemed to be about time to get a new forum when WDSnave, a dedicated Wc3:WoW fan, had offered us a new and improved forum for Wc3:WoW. Since our current forum is so old and out dated, this appeared to us as an offer we simply could not refuse. Therefore, WDSnave proceeded and gave us a new forum which quickly replaced our old official forum as the new and improved official forum! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to thee, the new Wc3:WoW Forum!

Right now the forum is pretty empty and has the appearance of a ghost town, but in time it will become just as great and hopefully better than the older forums. We will try to move a few important threads from the old forum to this one, however, posts within them will not be brought along the way. It's simply impossible.

We urge you to register at the new forum immediately and appreciate your activity on the forum. BETA testers and Wc3:WoW developers must register at the new forum or else they will be removed.
