Breeding breeding laws and adoptions We do not allow previously played characters to be adopted. It creates too much confusion as to who owns what character. Pups under 3 months may be adopted (even if already played) if a player decides to drop the character. Mates are like husband and wife, while breeding is conceiving pups. Breeding is allowed all year. Gestation lasts 1 month and you must roleplay the female being pregnant. Most alphas ICly require packmembers to get permission before breeding. It's not an OOC rule to do this, but your alpha may give you IC punishments for not getting permission (some even require permission to be mates). You may not play your own pup. You may not play your own mate, nor may your mate not be a member of WR (if you intend to breed). This also means you cannot join with a pregnant character nor can you go on absence and return pregnant. Each litter is allowed a maximum of 5 surviving pups. A litter can consist of up to a total of 6 pups (stillborne and surviving). An administrator may restrict the number of pups in any litter or declare a litter stillborne for any reason. Pups can be played two weeks after their birth. Any pups not adopted one month after the birth will be declared dead/lost. You must post a breeding application/adoption form as soon as the breeding takes place. If you do not post a breeding application, the pregnancy will be declared as a miscarriage and you will recieve an OOC warning on your account. To adopt a pup that is to be born, you must pm both parents. It is the final decision of the parents who gets to play the pup. If you are not a current member of WR (you're a guest) you may post in this thread requesting permission to adopt a pup.
