Well, I think we might actually be able to get good 'ol xRPx back up and running again if you guys are willing to pitch in. I was thinking it might be nice to add some things to the boards that might help get the posting action back up. So, what do you guys want? What have you seen in other forums that might be cool here? Or what new ideas do you have? Go ahead and post 'em!

More threads like the TGS spam topic or Questions on Uppervent would be a good start. Maybe a more diverse member population...I know that members with different beliefs and backgrounds can lead to some interesting discussions.

But for immediate action, I might try PM'ing a few people to see if they want to start an active movement to get this place running again. A group of 3-5 people actively posting and starting new topics would be a good jump-start. I for one will try and visit daily to help out.

A suggestion, it would be nice if it was easier to tell when there are new posts in a forum. Like, right now, the icon is that same penguin for when there is new posts or no new posts, and that makes it a wee bit difficult. Also, the fact that there it no cropping on consoles can get annoying. Could we add in edges or whatever, like the part DV turned grey on TGS?

EDIT: New buttons would be cool, to freshen up the place a bit.

Yes, I agree, new icons would be good. Some that are less confusing and 'busy' looking.


As for the finding new posts part, try out the 'Portal.' I use it pretty much all the time. The link for it is in the top left corner beneath the banner.
