GD0, Thursday, July 3, 2008 Dr. Hank McCoy spent the majority of his day playing around in his lab. At some point in the morning he "volunteered" (tricked?) Kurt and Lorna to set up the backyard for Jubilee's Birthday party the next day. Then as the afternoon grew hotter, he felt guilty and helped them out. Then took a refreshing dip in the pool with Rogue, during which he successfully trapped her in a rubber innertube. Hilarity ensued, but she swore her revenge. Leaving Rogue and Lorna as they played about in the water, Hank went back inside, showered, dried his fur well, and went down to the dining room for dinner. After dinner, he dissappeared back into his lab to try to get in some relaxation, listening to the Rolling Stones and catching up on a good book. His peace was interrupted by Emma Frost, who had a request that Hank agreed to dispite his best judgement: a special simulation disc that would recreate the murders of her former students. She left him and he began work on it immediately, barely noticing how the hours of the night drifted into hours of early morning. Eventually, he forced himself away from his screen and took the elevator up to the first floor for a glass of water before heading to bed. While walking the halls, he heard a suspicious noise and hid by clinging to the ceiling, suspecting an intruder. But it was merely Sage, listening to headphones and limping noticeably. He followed her to the laundry room and inquired as to what was wrong, but she kept up a false bravado... up until passing out and nearly falling on her face before Hank caught her. Concerned, he brought her down to the med-lab and tended her wounds, both physical and emotional, until she eventually fell asleep in his arms and he put her to bed. It was several more hours before the Beast himself was able to sleep.

GD1: Friday, July 4, 2008 Hank allowed himself to sleep in that morning, and then woke up and went directly, you guessed it, to the lab. Once the party began, he finally decided to show his bright and bushy face, donning the Greatest Party Shirt Ever: purple hawaiian. His first stop was the buffet, after which he filled himself on good coversation, chicken wings, and cake. After he was finished eating, he quickly ducked inside to drop off a minifridge at Sage's Sanctuary, as a way to sort of make up for all of those missed birthdays. As he was going back outside, the Professor caught him and asked him to assign room keys to the two new arrivals, James Proudstar and Lucas Bishop. Then he headed over towards the pool, where he was quickly pranked by Rogue, who squirted sunblock all over his fur and made him believe that it was hair remover. He was furious at first, but quickly got over it in his characteristic and forgiving way (once he found out he wasn't going to have balt patches on his chest, of course). The party climaxed with a rousing game of chicken volleyball, during which Hank was a bottom for a surprisingly NUDE Ororo Monroe. The whole thing ended with a beautiful fireworks display, which Hank watched quietly to the side while sitting comfortably in a tree. That evening, Hank organized a lot of his friends into a rousing game of three team, danger room Capture the Flag, and his team lost miserably after a very tense exchange of words with Danielle Moonstar. He was able to relax a bit, though, with Remy, afterwards in the showers. No, there was no locker room funny business. ;-) Hank saved that for Brain Candy. Hank labored away several more hours that night on Emma's simultion disc. Luckily Elisabeth had returned after a terrible trip and kept Hank company, until each of them finally forced the other to go to bed. Hank had barely gotten to sleep in his bedroom when he heard noises and voices out in the hall, upon investigating, he discovered a very inebriated Douglas, leaving Elisabeth's bedroom wearing nothing but sneakers, underwear, and her sheets. Hank had to rush back into his room so that Elisabeth wouldn't murder him when he began cracking up.

GD2 holding place. Hank had been asleep for barely four hours when he was woken up by Logan pounding on his bedroom door, summoning him for a mission already. As he wandered around groggily downstairs he discovered that Sage had fallen victim to a similar wake-up call. Sage, Jubilee, and Hank spent a while waiting for the others in the hanger, but eventually they were airbound and Wolverine gave them the details of their mission. Hank took advantage of the long flight to try to get to know Bishop a little bit better. IE: cornering him and throwing a bunch of questions in his face. Once the had landed in Alaska, the X-Men attempted to make their way to Town Hall, having to fight a lot of unkillable werewolves along the way. Once inside the townspeople all watched them suspiciously, especially watching Hank, but he paid them no mind and offered what medical supplies he could spare (which it turns out was a lot). The uncomfortable stillness couldn't last, though, as some random lumberjack decided to try to make a break for it by running outside the safety of the Town Hall, right into the middle of a bunch of werewolves. Jubilee followed him, despite the warnings from Cyclops, Beast, and the rest of the team, and Hank rushed after her, just barely shoving her out of the way as a werewolf lept to attack her. He took the bite to his shoulder instead, and instantly began to transform. There was fighting between the X-Men and Hank the Wolf before Wolf-Hank finally fleed into the woods, with Jubilee on his tail, and Bishop on hers. In the Foothills, Wolf-Hank came across Sage and Logan, and attacked Sage. Then he moved his attention to Logan, and ate a large chunk of his... well... let's just say it itched when it grew back. Eventually Sage was able to tranq Wolf-Hank and tie him up while he was slipping in and out of consciousness. As soon as they left, however, Hank's new Wolf Brothers came to his rescue, and set him free. That's when he headed farther into the woods. In the woods, Wolf-Hank attacked Cypher, but the young man was saved by Danielle Moonstar, who first pushed him out of the way, then shot at the wolf with one of her psychic arrows. The Wolf fell into a deep slumber, but Hank the Man continued to believe he was awake, even while he was dreaming. Because of Moonstar's power, he was forced to face his greatest fear, and in his dream, Dani became a child again, and he ripped her apart and killed her. No matter how much he pleaded with his body to make it stop, the Wolf continued to torture and eat her. Hank awoke much later after the X-Men had broken the curse. He was no longer a werewolf, and was now in control of his own body and mind, but since he was alone and in the same place, he believed that he had successfully killed Moonstar before he could be cured. He spent a long time just sitting in the woods alone and mourning, until a group of X-Men sought him out to bring him back to the town. Among this group was Moonstar, and Hank was so shocked and happy to see her that he swept her into an almost crushing embrace, and declared how happy he was that she was alive. All this was much to Miss Moonstar's confusion, and for some reason, Hank refused to explain any more than that, remaining strangely somber and silent until they all successfully returned home. As soon as he returned home, Hank wanted to go straight to bed, but he had to deal with two patients who had been injured by dinosaurs in the New York City mission. The first was Cannonball, who was reluctant to bother the doctor, but had four raptor teeth still lodged in his arm. The second was Storm, who had been hit in the head with... as far as Hank could gather... a pterodactyl.

GD3, Sunday, July 6, 2008 Hank was up characteristically early, and the first thing he did was go to the kitchen to make himself some coffee. Breakfast of champions. Little did he know that while he was brewing, a stowaway was exploring the lab coat he had let fall to the ground. When he picked up the lab coat again, Sage's kitten tumbled into the coat pocket. Unknowingly, he put the coat on, and transported the stowaway all the way to his lab. While attempting to get some research done on sambles of both werewolf and raptor teeth from the day before, the doctor was interruped several times. The first was by the existance of the kitten itself. The second was Emma Frost, who had come to pick up the simulation disc that he promised her. The third was Jubilee, who had come, supposedly, to have Hank look over her scratches from the mission, but really wanted to deliver an apology (or her version of one) to her friend for her part in his transformation. The fourth interruption was Kurt, in need of a just-in-case check up after his dust-induced teleportation all the way from England to Egypt. Hank gladly complied, and found Kurt to still be in perfect health. Around noon, Hank finally left his lab to fix himself some victuals and shared a pleasent lunch with friends, during which he fussed over Jean's bruised head and greeted one of the X-Men's oldest friends, Magneto. At some point during lunch, Piotr stopped by, and Hank asked about the new girl, Megan Gwynn, since he had not seen or heard from her all day. Piotr then went to check on her immediately, and by 1PM she was in the medical lab with Dr. McCoy getting her priliminary physical. Little did the poor doctor know, that while he was doting on his newest little patient, Remy was in his personal lab, setting a trap as revenge for Hank giving him a detective as a bathroom buddy. When Hank returned to his lab, he easily fell pray to the trap, which not only ended with coffee grounds all over both the doctor and his laboratory, but also sent him into a temporary rage. To get over it, he decided to get outside and go for a walk... then a run, finally stopping when he reached the orchard and climbed into one of the blossoming apple trees. He was not there long before a frightened young girl in black veils intruded upon his solitude. He learned that she was Sooraya Qadir, yet another new student at Xaviers, and attempted, somewhat successfully, to ease her discomfort about his physical appearance. Returning to his lab, his cleaning up was temporarily interrupted by a visit from Danielle Moonstar. Unable to tell her what he saw in his vision, out of shame and out of some strange need to protect her, Hank avoided most of her questions, answering as vaguely as he could until Dani finally got frustrated with him and left. Later he was visited again by another old friend, Forge. While Forge was there, Hank decided to take advantage of the Maker by requesting a specialized security system installed in his lab, with the express purpose of keeping Remy LeBeau from entering. Forge happily agreed to the order. That night, against his better judgement and after much prodding from the womenfolk of the house, Hank joined his fellow X-Men for a night out at Harry's, a bar in Salem Center. Although, he usually prides himself on being the sober and sensible one, Hank quite loss count of how many drinks he had in the hours that the men spent in that crowded bar, and slowly but surely he became intoxicated. Arriving home after last call, Hank was in a quiet, but blissfully happy mood. Everyone was fantastic. Everyone was his best friend, and he loved them all. Then, in this bedroom, Hank found a full, unopened bottle of whiskey, and decided it would be a good idea to drink it all. Once the whiskey was only a third gone, Hank was as drunk as he'd ever been, and instead of feeling happy, he began thinking dangerously deep thoughts about life, love, and the meaning of existance. Then, for some reason, he decided that he needed to be outside. Right now. He wandered into the woods, pursued by a concerned Sage, and for the first time since meeting her, Hank was completely honest. About everything, including more than even Sage may have wanted to know. Eventually she was able to get him back into bed, where he finally fell asleep.

TIME JUMP Monday, July 7, 2008 Hank woke up late... with a mother hangover. Avoids people and life. Eventually he gets his act together when he remembers that he has to give yet more preliminary physical exams that day. He gets his breakfast and coffee, showers, slides into the labcoat and begins. Physicals that day included Bishop, Callie, Julian, and Wicked. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 Continued lab work, recording and cataloging all of the children's medical results. Hank also began working on updating all of the old simulations so that the new students' powers would be accounted for while they were training. Lab work, medical cataloging, and simulation updating. Later... MUCH later that night, around 2AM, Hank was still awake and puttering around, when he overheard some music coming from the gym. He investigated, and discovered Cessily Kincaid, dancing while she believed no one watched. The two of them spoke for a while, and then Hank brought Cessily down to the danger room, so she could see it first hand. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 More of the same. Sometime that afternoon, Hank gave a basic physical to Kevin Ford, and the two also talked about his "Voice." He also gave a very awkward physical to Cessily that was tense with self-consciousness.

GD4, Thursday, July 10, 2008 The day started out at 7am with Hank completing two more physical exams, for Sooraya and Sage. Once that was over, he gave a follow-up exam to Alison Blaire for the wound she had collected while on the dinosaur mission in New York. Around lunchtime, Hank decided to harrass one of the students who had been hiding in her room. After a little prodding, he convinced Cessily Kincaid to join him outside and took her to the lake. Afterwards he helped her to discreetly gather some food in the kitchen and sent her back up to her room to eat it. For the majority of the afternoon, Forge came to Hank's laboratory and installed the anti-Remy security device they had been planning. Since he wasn't sure how to help, Hank just let the Maker work and tinkered off to one side with his image inducer, trying to get it ready for a formal evening. The two nerds tested the new security system by summoning Remy. Later that evening, Hank shared a dinner with Rogue over class schedules, then got his tuxedo on with some help from Alison Blaire, turned his inducer on, and headed down to the foyer to wait for his date: Jubilation Lee. When she arrived, however, she was horrified that he was in disguise, and the two of them get into a big, public fight. When he realized that there were impressionable students present, Hank conceded and turned the inducer off. Later the two of them made up in the limo. The actual opera went off without a hitch. Well... until directly afterwards, when one of Hank's young fans was kidnapped. Jube and Hank rushed off to the rescue, saving the young boy and having a grand ol' time.

GD5, Friday, July 11, 2008 In the morning, after breakfast, Hank flipped through various news channels to see what the media jackals were saying about him, and was joined by Lorna Dane. Playful battling over a half-eaten bagel ensued. Afterwards, Hank suited up for a solo Danger Room session, during which he battled Sentinels while they attacked the exterior of the mansion. The session was scheduled from 9AM to 11AM, but around 9:30, he was interrupted to be called on a mission... to battle real Sentinals in Ohio. While Nightcrawler assumed the role of pilot, Hank took over briefing the others on the jet. As soon as they arrived, the battle began. The X-Men, naturally, were victorious. Returning home, the taste of victory was fleeting as he stopped by the medical lab to find Sage, beaten, covered in blood, and concussed. She told him that Sabretooth had invaded the mansion in search of someone, and he left at once to make sure everyone was alright and accounted for. Once he could establish that Victor Creed was gone, the students were unhurt, and that Jean, Jube, and all the rest of "Wolvie's Girls" were home safe and sound, Hank learned of Cessily Kincaid's encounter with the frightening villain, and stopped by her room to make sure she was alright. Somehow, by the end of the conversation, he had agreed to talk to the Professor about fitting Cessily with an image inducer that Hank himself would design. He's still unsure how that happened.
