Alright so me and my girlfriend have our own acoustic songs and stuff and I recently bought a nice but cheap Condenser Mic, I was wondering if anybody could give me some tips to recording acoustic stuff to make it sound good?

I heard if you have one mic to place it near the 12th fret area and stuff like that.

I'm recording through a mixer to a USB Audio Interface and using Adobe Audition to edit stuff, like Reverb and stuff.

I like Mixcraft a lot.

I considered getting a mac for garageband, but I couldn't justify spending a grand for a single program. I don't care much for apple products in general. Bad experiences, but I really wanted garageband. :/ one day if I'm rich maybe.

all the macs that ive owned have been great and lasted for many years. well the towers anyway. the laptops are cool but the batteries and chargers kind of suck. even so, infinitely better than a pc.

hmm. good to know. Out of curiousity, is garageband as great as everyone says it is? Like ease of use? Half the good ones out there are so complicated it's hard to learn unless i have someone teach me.

The next desktop I get will probably be a mac. (as it is I could probably sell my laptop that I have and get a macbook. but I really don't want to part with my blu-ray player.)
